Which knottie's

Re: Which knottie's

  • I would actually go to ANY of the weddings on here, past, present or future!  I just love weddings.  Plus I love seeing how people do things and seeing their creative ideas.  I'm a dork that way.

And I like seeing people happy.  People are usually pretty damn happy at weddings.

  • Mags, we thought about whoopie pies. I am still thinking about it. A store near our house makes red velvet ones, and we are hopelessly in love with them. Of course theirs are literally the size of my face, but I'm sure the'd make us small ones if we asked.

  • Noone ever picks my wedding either, Nebb. But it doesn't help that I don't have a bio and never post pics.

But our menu did include mashed potatos and gravy, meatballs in grape jelly sauce, fried chicken, baked ziti, and spinach balls. Can't beat that!

<div>Holy Odin! My mom made these once and no one ever believes me! Seriously, she got the recipe out of a Sunset magazine in the late 70's/early 80's. Unfortunately, that were the worst thing my mom ever made, and that's saying something. Likely due to her cooking skills or the horrendous grape... jam... that she had made (because the skins were too hard to strain out). I bet yours were way more tasty. Still, I've never heard of anyone else who new about these. </div>

If you don't count the cocktail hour, ours was 2 1/2 hours.

But a whole bunch of people were still there an hour after it ended, even though the bar was closed and the DJ was gone, the caterers were setting up for the next wedding, and DH and my parents and I were trying to gather up everything and load it into cars.  We shuttled them along to the bar and fortunately the venue didn't charge us for people being there after they were supposed to have left.

I would crash seshat's wedding for the mashed potatoes with gravy.  I love me some mashed potatoes.

Same here.  We didn't; think it would be a problem with an early afternoon reception but we were wrong.  The venue let the guests party out until the very last minute when they had to turn over the room for the next party.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

ok, i choose your wedding! :)

we went and hung out at the hotel bar for a few hours after the reception with whoever wanted to stick around...basically, all of the out-of-town guests.
  • Anna Oskars, CS's or Shellys. They looked awesome and completely different than mine.

Oh, and Tide's for all of the symbolism that I wasn't brave enough to put into my own wedding.

ummm yeah, our reception was from 3:30-9:30 AND the bonfire afterparty went until 3am with at least 60% of the wedding guests staying that late...oops!
  • I would so go to a bonfire after party.
