i would need to know the extent of the story BUT if i had kids and this happened i would not think twice about calling the cops...my child's safety would be much more important than any relationship i could ever have. It might strain my marriage but peoples children should be their first priority....

not acceptable, idk how that mom did not cut out that MILs lips and rip out her eyes so she could never even look at her baby again.

I'd first file a report with the cops.  Especially after that text message she sent later.  She clearly thinks kissing a babies genitals is merely showing "affection." How many other children has she shown this type of affection to??  The cops need to know.

I'd also inform her, my husband, etc. that under no circumstance would she be seeing my child ever again.

For those who can't read the thread:

Mil was helping change her grandsons diaper and kissed his penis because it was "so tiny and cute". When the mother called her out on it she said she was just showing affection and didn't see why it was such a big deal. She also has reason to suspect mil molested her husband and his brother when they were little.

Holy fvcked up.  I don't even know what I would do.  I suppose talk to DH to try to find out more about his past but I wonder why she really hasn't tried to do this/get him the help he obviously needs.  And try to come to some sort of solution together...

Either way, my child would stay far away from a person like that...far, far away.

Wow... I just read everything on this... and yep, very disturbing. I'm not even sure how I would handle the situation... other than kicking her ass and calling the cops.

But again, we don't know the whole story, accusing someone of child molestion is a big deal, but honestly, from what I gathered from the OP, cops would definitely be called and she wouldn't be seeing my kids ever again.

From what planet could MIL come from to think that this "affection" is in any way okay???  I'd probably be calling the cops too, or at the very least there would be absolutely no grandma time, ever, for any reason, until there has been some serious therapy undertaken.  Her sons are obviously screwed up from what I would imagine to be the same thing, no way I'd want to perpetuate the cycle.
