In Response to Re: Awesome movies : Really, you didn't like the book? It's not my favourite Neil Gaiman novel, but I enjoyed it. I agree that the movie was ridiculously awesome. I went to go see it in theatres, but it was so crowded all that was left was the very front row, and I couldn't see anything. So we left. I went back to see it later =D
Posted by Anysunrise
I just couldn't get into it, and I felt like if I hadn't seen the movie first I would have been confused, like with the way the ghost brothers were described. I didn't like how it ended with the witch, and my favorite character (I agree with you, LC, DeNiro was the shiit) just wasn't as interesting.

But, my opinion may be affected by the fact that I watched the movie first. I loved the story just the way it was and the book took away some of the magic for me.

Now I want to watch the movie again.
• That reminds me. Being John Malkovitch is one of the best movies ever. Omg.
• Well, speaking of then, Being John Malkovitch. I didn't like it the first few times I saw it, but it grew on me, somehow.

Yeah, I've been trying to get FI to get his hair cut like this one picture of Colin Farrell, to go with his mustache/goatee.  Once I showed him the picture that I was thinking of, I think it made more sense to him.

Oh ok! I see now. We dont have a bluray player of any kind yet. But I'm planning on buying FI a Playstation 3 for Christmas, so of course that will change.
• I haven't seen Virgin Suicides, but the book was good.

I love Clue.  Love love love.
Princess Bride
Usual Suspects
I really liked Memento, but I need to watch it again.

I need to think of some more.  I also need to save this thread for later reference!
