Snarky Brides

Roooooaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I'm in such a pissy mood this morning. I had to hold myself back from calling an employee a complete fucking idiot when I first got here and I've wanted to rip my bosses balls off at least 3 times so far today and he's not even in the office. I also hate each and every one of my coworkers right now for no reason at all.

What's wrong with me? Am I pregnant with evil alien baby that wants me to hurt people?

Re: Roooooaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • It sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays ;)

I'm sorry, Cew.  threatening to stab people in the balls always makes me fell better (yes even if it's a female I'm threatening, that's the threat they get).

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • Oooh. I like that. Stabbing someone directly in the balls. The thought of it makes me laugh and it sounds like it has the potential to inflict some serious pain.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I work with one of the most negative people in the world. No matter what you say, she is going to find a reason that you are the most idiotic person that has ever drew breath. She is a chronic bubble burster and it makes me want to commit violence.
  • I hate people like that.  I'm always trying to be really positive and I don't need someone negating my efforts at every turn.

I got "My sources say no". That's great news.

What do you think it's sources are? Probably Aliens. And those aliens probably don't want me to know about their master plan so they are lying to me. Motherfucker. Duped again.

  • I'll trade you rage for sickness. I'm currently trying to avoid getting sick at my desk. I'm thinking this has to do with the tuna I had yesterday and slightly funny-tasting mayo. I might punch H in the balls later tonight for convincing me it was fine to eat.

And I give you permission to punch Negative Nacy in the throat.

This is me. I used to be really close with this girl, but she has just gotten so disgruntled and she wants to take everyone down with her. She also has the ego of a WWE wrestler and can't stand to be wrong. She has no self awareness either, so she has no idea that she comes off as a miserable cvnt 87% of the time.
  • I'm picturing stabbing someone directly in the balls and it sounds kind of difficult. I feel like they would move around? Unless you had them in a clamp or something. Perhaps I'm overthinking this?

    Negative people super suck.

Seshat - yuck. Sorry about the throw ups. Is it one of those where you feel like you'd be better if you could just hurl one good time.

Jasmine! I've figured out why I can't quote you. I have sigs blocked at work, but not at home. I noticed this weekend that I can quote your from home, but that you buttons are up around your picture for me. Your buttons are in your sig! Mystery solved.

I think you'd have to just be okay with the possibility of having to stab someone directly through the penis to get to the balls. I would be totally okay with that kind of collateral damage.
  • Maybe, it's too early to tell. Usually I do feel better afterwards. Right now I'm in the stomachache phase. It comes and goes. But I HATE getting sick at work so I'm going to either suck it up or go home.

Aw..see this is why I dont listen to my DH, he'll eat anything. I have to wait till he's not home and the trash is going out to throw anything out. He keeps everything.

    Hope you feel better.

  • kd--Yeah, H's stomach is a trash can with everything except ice cream, that usually gives him a stomachache. I should know better by now. I just really wanted a tuna sandwich so I was willing to forego my better judgement. Never again!
  • Sorry Cew.  Maybe it's the moon because I have been raging since last night. Despite a great weekend I started a "discussion" with FI about how he needs to be looking for a better job (which is totally like a punch in the balls without any physical contact).  The discussion turned into him pouting and going home early so I knitted and watched the start of Shark Week by myself.  And, today he asks me to help him update his resume so I guess being a biitch paid off.  Hope your day gets better or you atleast get to punch someone in the balls.
  • Yay mystery buttons!

I'm a big fan of scathing passive aggressive statements when dealing with negative people. "Well Nancy, if you think it's going to be a bad day, it sure will be!" *Giant smile*

  • Ugh, sorry Cew.  That stinks.  Seshat, pretty picture, and I hope you feel better soon.

Speaking of negative people, I had a weird/uncomfortable confrontation at, of all places, the Renaissance Faire over the weekend.  My family sat down to watch a show, and my son (10) sat next to an elaborately costumed woman (she was in her late 40s.early 50s, I'd say).  Son has some muscle weakness problems and has a hard time sitting upright, so he tends to prop his feet up and kind of brace hiimself when he sits.  Well, his feet brushed up against this woman's dress, getting some dirt/dust on the fabric.  Not good, and rather careless on his part.

She turned, and snarled at him:  "You will put your feet down and you will sit up right!  You got my dress dirty!"  He apologized and was really shaken by it.  I told her "It was an accident."  She glared at me and said "It was not an accident!"  Then we both sat there, but son was between us and really wanted to leave; we left shortly after that.  The sand/grit brushed off her dress easily.

Here's the thing:  Son was wrong in that he was careless with his feet.  We were really packed in there, and it would have been very easy for, say, a grown person to cross his or her foot over a leg and accidentally brush a foot against the person next to him/her.  I seriously doubt she would have snarled at an adult the way she snarled at my kid.

    Who was the asshole?
  • OWN, I think the woman was the asshole. It was an accident. Like you said, your son was trying to prop himself up, he wasn't trying to get her dress dirty. She had no right to order him around like that.
  • She was a total biitch. He apologized. She had zero right to tell your son to sit up straight. Fuuck her and her imperative sentences. I would have countered with "You will stop talking to my son, and you will remove the stick from your ass."
    image
  • thanks, Seshat.  I thought so, too, but then I was afraid that I was being overprotective or over-excusing of my son.  He did promptly apologize, which is only right, but I couldn't believe she scolded him like that.  Hell, I've brushed my feet against people when crossing my legs and if anyone had snarled at me to "sit up right" I would have been pissed.
  • OWN, that lady was the asshat for sure. She overreacted to an accident. She should have asked him nicely to keep his foot off her dress.

  • OWN- The woman was definitely the jerk.  If an adult had brushed her dress would she have been so rude? I highly doubt it.  Even if your son was a little careless (afterall he is a kid) he apologized and there was no harm done.  Some people can't let kids be kids.
  • OWN, I seriously have a head of anger up at that woman!  Really.  Even if your son didn't have issues with sitting, he apologized.  Some people treat kids like they're the scum of the earth, and that's so wrong.  I'm kind of teary for your son.  Poor guy.
