daytime church ceremony-night reception.

We have a wedding today that starts at 2:30pm and then the reception isn't until 6:30pm.  We plan on coming home in between.  Does FI need to wear his suit to the church or can he just wear khakis and change when we get home before the reception?

For me a church is a formal space so I would have him wear a suit.

hi meaghan...this is what I thought but some of his friends aren't dressing up for the church.  This is why gap weddings are annoying.

If anything, I'd dress up for the ceremony, go home and change into something more casual for the reception.

I would say just to be on the safe side to have him wear his suit. It's kind of nice around our area today so he could probably skip the suit jacket and just have the shirt and tie.
