It's a blue heron Anna.  There are a few that used to hang out at the pond my office.

I spent a morning at the pond with my only goal being to get an action shot of a heron fishing.  I wasn't there 15 minutes before one got one and I was so excited that I totally jacked the settings.  He didn't get another fish the rest of the morning. 




We also had these guys for a while.
