It's Friday!!

Good morning ladies!

It's been a hard wake up this morning, didn't get to bed until close to midnight so I'm dragging my butt.

On a positive note I'm working a half day and then booked a "last minute deal" with my spa for a fruit acid facial this afternoon, which I'm really looking forward to trying. The esthetician recommended a series of them as prep for the wedding, but I can't justify $90 a pop! So this is the perfect chance to try it out for half price.

Did any/are any of you doing any special skin treatments for your wedding? I don't have bad skin, I just to freshen up a little.

Keep us posted on how the facial was! I never have had one. I plan on getting 1 a month, 3 months out before the wedding (possibly 2 in the month of). I don't have bad skin, but I occasionaly get 1 big zit if I'm stressed out so I'm hoping the facials will keep that at bay. Half price sounds like a great deal!

FRIDAY!!!!

The only skin prep I did before our wedding was tanning, and well, that's not really healthy so I won't openly recommend it. I've gotten facials before and they're nice. I think you see the biggest benefits from them a couple days later once your face has time to absorb everything that was done to it. Make sure to talk to you the person doing your facial to let them know about any skin issues you may have or would like to address.

Last night H and I went to a bigger BB&B in our area and bought new curtains, curtain rods, sheers, valance for the kitchen window, oh my! We were productive. It was fun. We always like going home shopping together because we're good at compromising. We often have different ideas of what we want, but are always able to come up with a solution that we both like.

I'm pretty sure this weekend will be low key. I'm looking forward to getting a bit wine tipsy either tonight or tomorrow. Or maybe both, who knows

Ooh, your wine comment made me remember that good friends of ours are having a rock band party tomorrow night. My FI takes over all his DJ equipment and they set up their whole basement with a big stage in the corner and a bunch of TVs and lights, it's a ton of fun! We probably look at little crazy b'c everyone is over 30, but whatever! Lol

Tarra, good luck on finishing up your BFA/MFA. I have a BFA but have no desire to go back to school for my MFA anytime soon. I certainly admire the people who do though.

That sounds amazingly geeky, and by that I mean really awesome. I used to love rock band but my hands don't seem to function they way they used to and I have troubles getting through more than a couple songs now.

Morning!

Got my hair cut last night - had my side bangs cut back in. Getting a snowstorm tonight/tomorrow and we're supposed to be snowmobiling to the cabin tomorrow to spend the night. Not much excitement ...

Ooohhh ...

my invitations arrived yesterday! I'm liking them, and am glad that I chose matte black. I guess if FI goes on his snowmobiling trip next week, I'll start addressing them then. DD is going to visit her dad, FI may be going snowmobiling with some buddies (if we don't lose all our snow - we've lost so much these last two weeks that it's crazy. If we get the storm tonight it should be okay, but if not they may have to change their plans) and I'm planning to rest, do lots of working out and maybe some painting. So addressing some invitations while watching tv shouldn't be a hardship.

Hey - that means I get to control the remote! That NEVER happens!

Thanks buzz, it is amazingly geeky. Especially since one rule is you have to wear your best rock star outfit. I can only do rock band/guitar hero on easy, and even then only a couple of songs at a time but everyone swaps out constantly so it's lots of fun!

Jenny, your hair cut sounds nice! Are you adjusting well to the new bangs? I've contemplated recently about putting mine back in, but I'm still undecided. What do your invitations look like?

Tarra, I had the assumption you might want to teach. Most people I know with their MFA usually get them for that reason.

Angel, I got to the point of being able to play most songs on medium pretty well. I've beaten the first version of the game on easy. Oh wait, that was Guitar Hero, same differnce :P I was so proud of myself!

ETA: I think we need pictures on Monday of your outfit!

Thanks B2!  I get people who ask me all the time (because of size) what I'll do about my tats when I'm older.  And I'm like "Um... not be naked in public hopefully".  Because really, that's the only way people will see all of them.

My invites are Amapersand from vistaprint, basically a matt black with a giant '&' down in the bottom right corner. The time and location info are in the top left corner, and the invite part says:

Please join us as we make our vows to each other
Beneath swaying trees, beside sparkling water
We will become husband and wife, surrounded by our loved ones

i'm glad that I put my bangs back in, and might go  a little thicker next time. Side bangs work well with my hair, and I like how they soften my face when my hair is pulled back.
