Snarky Brides

dinner...

So this never happens to me, ever, but I am too tired to eat. I can't muster the energy to go cook anything and even worse, the thought of sitting in a restaurant is exhausting too...

What are you all having for dinner?

Re: dinner...

  • Nates, you know tomato, mushroom, and parmesan sauce can come from a can, right? ;)

  • When I separated from my first husband and wasn't eating, that (minus the soup) was the first thing I ate in three days. It was wonderful. So, it's kind of my "go to" when I feel like that.

I was going to add tomato soup to my suggestion, but I didn't know if everyone liked that or not.

Do not mess in the affairs of dinosaurs because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • I had dinner at my parent's house :)

    Spicy rice with ground bison
    Corn dogs (gluten free)
Sauerkraut (don't know why but my god did it hit the spot)
    and homemade falafel

<div>They do! My friend makes cakeballs as a hobby but won't officially sell them because of health laws, so I donated to a local women's shelter and she gave me the cakeballs. I'm trying to hold off on eating one because I know I'll eat more than one..</div>

Exactly.  Mine didn't totally, but it's still just spaghetti.  Nothing fancy

Not Anna's.  She's the Superman of the kitchen.  I'm like Cousin It.

But FI likes it, so that's good.  I'm so lucky I'm marrying a garbage disposal.

Oh, dude, I wasn't trying to suggest that yours came from a can.  I was trying to suggest that if Nates didn't want to make her own that she could probably find it in a can.  Sigh.  Any way you interpret it, it kind of comes out like I'm putting my foot in my mouth, so I'll stop.  Sorry.

What does this taste like? Regular ground beef?
  • I think ground bison tastes a lot like ground beef, especially IN stuff.  It's really lean, too.

Didn't take it that way at all.  I thought it was a little funny that she'd be jealous over spaghetti.  i'm not allowed to call it spaghetti at home unless it comes out of a jar.  Cory says "yours is fancy and spaghetti isn't fancy"  that's what i get for being a show off.  ;)
  • Ok, the cakeball was amazing. I'm not making them anymore, I'm just going to get my friend to make them.

BTW, Lemon cake with crushed peppermint on top is delicious!

Well, I guess it sounded more in-depth/difficult than it really was.  I just call mine spaghetti with meat sauce.  Yours sounded special :P.
  • Yep, just tastes like beef, especially if you have it in something with a sauce.
  • Dude I'm totally having one of those nights too, but when I got out of my car today I ran into our maintenance guy who told me "Hey, they're catering in fajitas in the club house." WOO!! I immediately grabed DH and we chowed down on free fajitas and even won a door prize: $25 dry cleaning gift certificate and a $100 limo gift certificate! Looks like we're gonna get a fun date in some clean clothes! :)
