Anyone here? Sad story - Suggestions?

Hey ladies,

An old friend of mine contacted me today, to share the story of the past 6 months of her life. Basically, they thought that they had found their dream home; a beautiful log cabin on a lake. They moved in, and within 6 months, she's confined to a wheelchair, her husband has developed a neurological condition, and her 8 year old son has cancer. She logs that the house was built with were soaked with a toxic chemical, and it poisioned her family. She's trying to get the house condemned, because the landlord wants to rent it out to another family, but there are no laws under which she can do it.

I'm so upset for her. Any suggestions on what to do/who to contact?

This is terrible. Thoughts and prayers for your friends. I'm kind of in disbelief that they're getting so much resistance with their pleas for help. I agree, this needs to get out to the media. I'm tempted to send that link to some national news sources. NBC, CNN... someone will pick that up.
