Im here. Actually im at work waiting for it to get busy. I hate having to dress up for halloween. I was lazy tonight and just grabbed a pair of cat ears. Tomorrow I will be forced to slut it up.

I only started posting a few weeks ago. I didn't really formally make my presence known I just jumped in after lurking for a while.

H and I got married on 09/12/09. It was my grandparents 50th anniversary. It was on a stationary boat on the Minnesota River. Even though it was a year ago I am still obsessed with the photos. I am doing a TTD next week and I am really excited. The theme was black/bronze damask and I made some killer DIY invites. Oh, and I had the cutest RB ever, my DS who had just turned one.

Chipotle hummus sounds delicious.  I made some black bean hummus last week that was pretty good.

The original plan was 09/19/09 but I am glad that ended up falling through. This picture is worth it.

That is a sweet photo, Kayla.  My paternal grandparent's 56th wedding anniversary will be on our wedding date - but sadly we lost my grandpa earlier this year My grandma has been reading their old love letters and has said that it has really helped her to get through the tough days.

I guess, they met in April, and were engaged by June - married by November!  And when they met, my grandpa had TWO girlfriends.  Stinker But they were married for 55 years, five children, 20+ grandkids, four great-grandkids.  I can only hope to have a marriage like theirs.

It's nice to see people still so much in love so many years later

Thanks! That is such a sweet story. The thought of love letters makes me smile. I'm sorry you lost your grandpa. H lost his grandpa when he was 12, so 15 years ago. I just found out he died on my birthday too. I really wish I could have met him. H's dad was not really in his life so he really looked up towards his grandpa. I can tell he still misses him. His grandma still wears her wedding ring. H had his grandpa's cufflinks for our wedding.
