Morning?

Re: Morning?

  • Morning guys. We had a fun night last night, the details of which I shall not go into, let's just say I managed to say the phrase "It's a really good d*ck" over a microphone to a crowded club, and kissed a bald man's head.

There's a chance of tornadoes and signficant chance of thunderstorms today, which kinda sucks, so here's hoping we don't have to retreat to the stairwell.

[QUOTE]Awesome. I think that'll be fun in the baby's room. I love pretty aquariums, but they skeeve me out to clean, so I know I'll never have one :(

<div>Me too. H's step mom has always had a huge awesome aquarium, though, so maybe we'll try and have her help us. </div>

<div>Just this one, and only if you don't live in that town.   It's stupid.  </div><div>
</div><div>The town is known for being kind of snobby, and putting weird laws into place to keep things out.  Like, every retail store roof has to be the same color, and their signs have to be at ground level, nothing can be on a pole.  And all of the cell towers in town (well, anything that's higher than the tree line) has to be camouflaged as a pine tree. </div>

I couldn't see it at first either, KD. Can you see it now?

<div>YUP. I have to go set up in a couple hours, and then after that the day gets rolling. I was up at 6 this morning for whatever reason, finishing up the last couple of things.</div>

  • Saltwater aquariums are WAY less skeevy to clean out than freshwater ones. I take out about 1/4 of the water once every month and a half or so, and put new saltwater in. If the sand is a bit dirty, I can vacuum it.

If the ecosystem in there is healthy, then most of the cleaning part takes care of itself. We have snails that clean the sand, crabs that eat algae, shrimp that eat little invader parasites, etc. It works well. :)

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Morning? : Technically, you have to pay for all the dog parks here too. But the 'fee' is covered in your annual pet license costs, so citizens of that city are covered.  My town is cheap ($20/year), but Minneapolis is nuts. It's like a $65 fine if you get caught at the dog park without registration. (And they check regularly.)

Steph- I'm starting to think you have to pay for everything in your area. Most parks in Ohio are paid for by our taxes, is it not that way in all areas?

  • Happy wedding day, Any!

We're just being lazy for now, trying to figure out how to pay our first mortgage payment (like, how to actually pay it, not find the money, that's there, haha), and sitting until we have to go over to the new house for our furniture delivery and to pay the painter (Steph, I'll email you the info in just a sec).  We were supposed to be moving today, but we changed the date and I'm so glad.  It's nice to just relax for a bit.

Wow... is she new or something? Or just horribly insensitive?
  • Happy wedding day, Any!

I got in at 4am from my trip from hell and managed to sleep until 10:30. My usually aloof cat must have missed me because she was rubbing all over my chin when I first sat down at the computer and nibbling on my fingers whenever I stopped petting her.

I had zero appetite yesterday after being sick the night before. Today I am starting to get hungry but I am terrified that anything I eat will bring my stomach issues back. Fun times. I think it will be toast for breakfast.

  • Happy wedding day ANY!

I have to work all day, but that's alright since I don't work anymore Saturdays until after the wedding. :D

My awesome bipolar cat got me up at 4:30 this morning.  Just to say hi.  He was meowing loud enough to wake the dead and trying to knock down the bedroom door so I thought maybe he couldn't get to his litter box or something happened.  Nope.  I came out to see what his problem was and he got on the couch and laid down.  Ass.

  • KD, nope. I mean, we have a ton of awesome parks that are covered by taxes, but the dog parks are covered by pet licensing fees. Which, in my opinion, is totally fair. Then people without dogs aren't required to cover any of the cost, you know? So you only have to pay to use the parks in some of the cities, and it's only if you're not a resident (or haven't licensed your dog yet.)  It's fair.

Very Fair indeed. And I'm sure it helps that you usually have to show your dog has it's shots as well.

I had just taken a shot a few min before she got there. I had a bad reaction to it so i was kind of rubbing that side of my belly because it was bleeding and burning.

Kind of funny that she asked, all things considered.

I just did some running around. Got my hair did, car washed and food shopped. I have to bring Pumpkin to the vet because there is urine in her blood :( Hopefully I can catch some pee before I take her.

The good news is that we finally found a house. We should be in attorney review by Tuesday and they aren't accepting any more bids and are cancelling their open house.
