Anyone have the Samsung Vibrant on T-Mobile?

Or any U.S. T-Mo customers in general.

We're thinking of switching. How is the service? I don't like Verizon because their 3G is crazy slow in my area and they are also the most expensive. We have AT&T now and I'm happy with the quality of service for data and voice, but I also feel like they are kind of pricey and aside from the iPhone I'm not in love with any of their phones, and getting an iPhone is not in the budget right now (their plans are a lot more per month than other smartphones).

I need to try out the phone in store though, since I have never used a touch screen keyboard in my life and I'm not sure if I would like it. But if you have this phone or if you use T-Mobile tell me all about it :)

  • I have T-Mobile and bought the Motorola Cliq smartphone earlier this year. I love it because it has a touchscreen but also has a keyboard that flips out. I find it much easier to type on the keyboard. T-Mobile coverage is not that great in Colorado, but I think you can look up coverage areas online. It might be better in your area.

  • I want a phone with a regular keyboard real bad. That's what I have now and I love it. But aside from Blackberrys I'm not sure what all T-Mo still offers in the way of pull-out keyboard phones. It seemed to be slim pickings on the website but maybe the stores have more. I did see an HTC that looked promising but it runs Windows Mobile which I'm not excited about.

  • I just got this phone yesterday!! I love it. It is my first smart phone. it's fairly easy to catch on if you already know phones well.

As for Tmobile itself I have been with them for 7 yrs and I love them. I have no problems with them, and when I do (of course it happens sometimes) the customer service is usually always great and friendly. Sometimes depending what the problem is you are even rewarded for the trouble (extra minutes or a $5 credit or something like that).

I highly recommend tmobile. Don't be afraid to ask questions to customer service.

  • O also with this phone they have to slide feature on texting and it's pretty easy to pick up on if you were use to the T9 feature on other phones. I never used a touchscreen keyboard neither. I picked up on it quick. I love it. I'm like a kid on Christmas morning. Tongue out

  • Nice :D I haven't used T9 typing in like ... years though. How is the camera, does it take decent pictures? I know a cell phone camera isn't going to be as good as a real digital camera but I'm just looking for decent internet ready pictures really, if I wanted to print something I'd use my real camera.

  • from all the phones I have had in the last 7 yrs.. the camera is AWESOME!! Pictures look great and pretty much like an actual digital camera.

It doesn't take the greats from the computer. But it takes actual good pictures. I say that because I didn't get everything transferred over yet and I was just playing around with it. My other phone took decent pics from the internet (the computer).

So far so good. I love it. I'm enjoying all the free apps as well.
