I didn't read most of it and I couldn't watch the video, but I think that men should be more pissed off than they are by this kind of idea that they have so little self control.

I refuse to believe that men have to go out and get laid if their wives are having sex with them as much as they'd like. It makes men seem like complete idiots whose moral compass is guided solely by their genitalia and that's just insane.

I think that the "monogamy is unnatural" argument has little support. As the article mentioned, the psychology behind infedility has a lot to do with personality traits.

Personally, I don't see why one would get married if they wanted to have sex with other people.

What irks me about this article is her assumption that what is right for her is right for everyone.

I honestly don't care if she has sex for money. I think prostitution should be legalized. Her attitude that women need to do what she is doing to keep their men, that is what annoys me.

I think she just gets off on the idea of sleeping wtih married men and tries to justify it with some BS about how all men cheat or need an outlet when their wife doesn't want sex. But, I think she is selling it the wrong way, she is advocating that a couple define & discuss cheating. That is empowering. Her cheating line is just far beyond the norm.  Now, her idea that men are horn dogs that are not responsible for their actions is hopefully an act or she is an idiot.

I have always wondered why men aren't more offended by these characterizations of them.  For some reason people think it's okay to portray men as sex fiends who can't control themselves if they don't get sex.  Like it's "nature" or something.  Humans have evolved a long way from the cavemen days so why do we still have such low expectations?

i sent it to my FI.  he could not believe the video.  He recently sent me the other cnn.com article that was abt how human are like apes so they aren't monogamous so why should we be.  He is definitely in the if you are getting married you shouldn't want to sleep with another person vote.

I find the argument that because animals aren't monogamous, neither should humans be, a little absurd. To me, when someone says that, they're basically saying they are no more evolved than an ape, or a dog, or whatever animal they are comparing themselves to--when, in fact, some species are monogamous, like several bird species. People like to claim superiority over animals unless it supports their argument, I guess.

This seems on par with those 1950's articles about how a good wife cooks, cleans, and takes off her husband's shoes and rubs his stinking feet when he comes home.  Really, it's saying that the poor little old men just can't help themselves, and if the women don't put out, then they can expect their husbands to stray.  So to prevent being the pathetic woman at home while your husband is sleeping around, you should agree to let him do it.  Because then he'll totally respect you, and be so much less likely to bring STD's back to you.

I won't judge people who choose of their own accord to have open relationships, but to actively promote it and to say that a monogomous relationship is unnatural is ridiculous, and this woman is just trying to justify sleeping with married men.
