Latest Casey Anthony issues

CN:  A woman with the same name as the fake babysitter that Anthony accused of kidnapping her daughter is filing defamation charges against her.  This woman doesn't have any affiliation with Anthony other than her name. 

Thoughts? Opinions?

I think she is justified. This woman's name has been drug through the mud in a murder investigation that she had nothing to do with. If i remember correctly around the time of the trial, she said she had gotten death threats, and people did assume it was her.

Like Duds said.  If it was a common name, then I don't think this would be a justified lawsuit.

But, the name Zenaida isn't even all that super-common in the Latino culture.

If Casey Anthony cannot produce the real person with that name she was referencing, then that lady has every right to sue her IMO.  If this person truly existed and just HAPPENED to share a name with this woman, than I don't think it'd be justified because it's not Casey's fault they share a name.

But think of it this way.  Say this woman Casey was referencing truly existed AND was involved in the situation as Casey described.  Why is it Casey's fault that this woman shares a name with another woman (the one who is suing her)?

I agree it's a moot point and Casey should be sued because obviously the woman she described doesn't exist, especially to the circumstances she described.  But if Casey had been telling the truth, I don't think this woman has the right to sue Casey for bringing up that woman's name.

I think Casey has admitted at this point that the whole story with the nanny was fabricated, so I think the woman has every right to sue her.

Also, people are freakin crazy. You're going to threaten to kill some random woman who has the same name as someone who allegedly kidnapped a little girl when there's not a shred of proof?

According to howmanyofme.com there are 21 people that share her name. Wonder if any of the others are going to try and get in on the action.

Interesting.  My guess is they'd have to prove they had issues of some kind in relation to it.

And thanks Angel.. I couldn't remember if she actually admitted to it or what they figured out in regards to it.

I don't know what the point is in suing Casey though.  Even if you win, I doubt you'll ever see that money.

I just checked and there's only 1 of me. I'm special.  However, if I change my name to H's last name, there are 16 of us. There are 12 people with H's name. I win.

As for the article, I hope the woman takes Casey Anthony for all she's worth (although that isn't much). I can't stand her.

There's only 1 of me... if I change my last name after I get married, there would be 27 of me. Another good reason to keep it...

Yeah I am not sure how accurate it is. It says there is one or less person with the name FH's father and brother share. FH is supposed to be the only one with his name combo while there are 9 with mine. 

Not surpririsngly there are over a million people with my first name and it's varition (Sara/h).

I think the issue is that this woman lived in the same area Casey pointed out, so its like she was fingering this exact woman, even though the woman didn't know her.

ALso, there are 154 of my maiden name. I know 3 and went to preschool with one of them. Same middle name too. 

But my married name is so unique that I might not even exist. Same for H.

I'm the only one of me, too - that's my first and married name.  My first with maiden name there are 61 of us.  Meh.

There is a chick on my BBL DVDs that looks a lot like Casey Anthony.  I  know it's not her but every time I work out to them I always wonder wtf she is up to these days.  I mean, she's a free woman, she probably has to make a living somehow.  No one really knows where she is or what she's doing, I assume for her safety and such.  But as far as I know she has no contact with her family.  I just have this enormous curiosity over how she's living life.

I don't beleive howmanyofme is super accurate.  It says there is only one or fewer people with my dad's name, but I know two. 

What I think that site does is counts likelihood of having a first name and then multiplies that by the likelihood of having a last name.  It's probably pretty good at guesstimating, but by no means correct.
