[QUOTE]Gorgeous dress and you look beautiful in it Chels.  So no heel at all huh?

I do have a super cute pair of blue heels that I just rememberd about. I bought them like 4 years ago and they kill my feet after an hour or so... but the ceremony is mostly kneeling/sitting...
Wouldn't that throw it off later though when I change to flip flops? My dress will drag

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: I have a shoe problem.. : Don't let the "they are just like flats!" fool you.  They look like Isotoner slippers.  Definitely not any more appropriate for church than ON flips.

<div>This.  And also, a friend of mine wore ballet slippers for her own wedding (she doesn't do heels, ever).  It rained on her wedding day and her feet got wet.  Ballet slippers absorb water.  She had wet, cold feet ALL night.  Not fun. </div>

  • Well, then definitely with all of that kneeling and sitting your shoes are going to show.

I went from 4 1/4" heels to flip flops (towards the end of the reception) and I did have to pick my skirt up but if your heels aren't that high (which I assume they're not) then it probably won't be that big of a deal.

  • I am not a huge shoe person, especially when it comes to heels. I have really bad heel spurs and my feet bother me often because of it. I wore these. The heels were really small and comfortable. I didn't even resort to my ballet slippers for the reception.

I also had navy bridesmaid dresses and told my girls to wear any silver strappy shoe. Most of them already had a pair.

  • My dress did drag, Chels. It was hemmed for my heels and then I threw on white ballet slippers at the reception. For me it was NBD, but it depends on what you'd like.

I missed the ballet page. Sorry! I do think you could pull of a cute pair of dressy flats if you really don't want to do heels, and your dress length can be hemmed for either shoe. I like these, which are super cheap and quite pretty with your dress.

Chels, I had the same fear about the dress dragging since I was changing from 4-inch ceremony heels to 2.5-inch reception shoes.  I talked to the seamstress about it, and she hemmed my dress closer to the shorter shoes.  The way it falls, it still worked with the higher heels, and I didn't have a dragging issue.  This is the best pic I have on hand of the way the dress looks from the front with the higher shoes:

I like the ones that Bec linked! And they are even called "Women's Chelsea Flats", like they were meant for you ;)

  • I meant to add that they are even called Chelsea! :)
  • Haha nice! They are cute! I think I'm going to head to the mall tomorrow afternoon and see what I can find. I'll need whatevre I'm wearing before my fitting on Saturday.
