Waking up early sucks/Good Morning SB!

Hey ladies...

I woke up at my 'normal' work wake-up time of 6am today. It sucks. Sigh.  Today is our 'Professional Activity' day which means I have to sit and listen all day...kinda like a studnet. It sucks. I also just found out that we have to pay our limo company the remainder of the money we owe one week before the wedding and now I feel like they have no incentive to show. It sucks.

I fee like a total negative nancy this morning...this might be a post and run but what are you all up to today...almost the long weekend!

Re: Waking up early sucks/Good Morning SB!

  • Good morning, number, and everyone else (eventually).  This is a P&R for me, too.

Well, today is the first day for the kids, so I'm super nervous.  I always get really nervous when I meet them (even though I know/have seen a lot of them because it's a small school).  I hope it's a smooth transition and my 90 minute blocks feel shorter than usual.

I hope everyone else has a great day.

You got up at 6, number? I started work at 6. I agree, waking up early sucks.

Have fun with the little ones, npa. My mom is the same way, she get nervous the first day but I don't know why, she's always the favorite at her school. Because she's awesome, clearly.

I have nothing planned today but work. It's going to be a long day. But it's been 1 week since I put in my raise request, so I'm hoping I hear about it soon.
  • We are up between 4-5 every weekday morning. Yup, it sucks.

It is pouring rain here this morning but it is seriously cooling down, which is great.

It is my Friday - we are headed up North Friday morning.

    Happy long weekend to all.
  • I slept in purposely and now im kind of regretting it. I need to look extra nice because I have an "interview" (not really, just meeting with the owner of the other company and discussing things, apparently the job is already mine if I say yes) and I want to look my best. I woke up with the headache I went to bed with lastnight so I am not happy. Work is going to be a nightmare today and tomorrow because of what is about to happen and it is NOT going to be a pleasant environment...
  • Morning.  All week, for some random reason, I've been waking up 8-10 minutes before my alarm goes off.  So weird.  That would be cool if I actually got up when my alarm went off, but I'm a snoozer.

Good luck with your "interview" Nebbster.

  • Morning.  It's Prefriday :)

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed because H got up early and started banging around in the Living Room.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • Thanks guys :) im excited about the new job (from what ive learned its a much bigger company that is growing a lot and I will have a LOT of room for advancement) but I still havnt really even met with the company yet, ive just heard everything second hand from the guy we know who works there and the sales guy im going with who has met with them a number of times.
  • Good Morning, Ladies.  I'm taking tomorrow off, so it's Friday!  Our neighbor works nights, and felt the need to blast his car radio when he got home at 2:30am.  Their driveway is right outside our bedroom window - thanks, TurdFace for waking us up 45 minutes early.  Couldn't you go inside your house to listen to music?

    Have a great day, everyone.

    Definitely.

I've been up since 3, thanks to said thunderstorms. Apparently I can't fall back asleep after being woken up, which sucks.  My migraine is back, as is my bronchitis.  I went back into the doc and she wants to  throw me on another round of antibiotics.  Oh well. At least the cough keeps me off the phones at work :)

    Good luck, Nebb!
  • Happy Friday Eve!! I started my day this morning at 5:15 to get to the gym, got shot with the sprinkler while walking my dogs, and then fell going up the stairs. Apparantly you have to lift your feet while walking up stairs. LOL. Now that my morning is off to a bumpy start, lets see how the rest of the day goes. I probably shouldn't have worn these tall heels since i'm pretty clumsy today, oh well! Should be interesting!

    Have a great day knotties!

I miss that step when walking.  Often.

Bonus: my boss just got in and brought us Starbuck coffee.  <3 my boss.

  • Good Morning Ladies!

Good luck with the "interview" Nebb.

My morning started great when one of my co-workers noticed when I was unloading the dishwaher, that my pants were about to split down the back. Not on the seam at all, so I was in the bathroom sewing them well enough to get me through the day. Time to go shopping.

I had a dream last night that my DH decided he was gay, and didnt love me. And that his partner was moving in with us. But they didnt want me to move out.

I told him this story, and he told me he was a lesbian stuck in a mans body.

  • Morning!  My Friday today but I have to work on Saturday.  Oh well, the OT will be nice.
  • It's raining here today as well and tomorrow's high will only be 89!  I love it.

It sounds like everyone will be having a great 3-day weekend.  I will be working on a retaining wall part of my weekend, and I'm not looking forward to that at all.  I might also be doing some yard work since our backyard looks like a jungle.

  • Good morning everyone. I woke up early and have been wasting time, instead of heading to the lab. I need to get going. However, the wind has it down to 35 degrees F outside (that's about 2 degrees C for our Canadian friends), so I'm kind of dragging my heels, because I can't be bothered to make coffee and my warm clothes are packed away in the basement.

<div>Thanks. Sometimes we get warm again, and then we get a nice protracted fall, instead of jumping straight away into winter. I'm definitely hoping for that! We just realized that with the wedding party, parents, siblings, and a few out-of-town friends staying with me in the days leading up the the wedding, we have 37 people for the rehearsal dinner. We're planning on a picnic up in the mountains, but damn. I'm really counting good weather for that. </div><div>

  • Good Morning - not too bad here today. I keep waking up at 5:30 (5:27 to be exact), and it's beginning to freak me out. I feel like I'm in the Amityville Horror (faked) book.
I get to leave work early today, but it's so the orthopedist can poke at my knee. I think it's a lot better, but my legs are mega sore. And i haven't been doing my exercises. But, I've done 3 major walking things since I saw him last - that should count for something!

My new replacement phone comes today. I hope its an exact replacement. I don't know how much of a refurbished one it can be; the phone's only been out for 6 months. But, if it's a trackball mouse, it's going back. The worst part is that I'm home for 5 hours with no way to call John, 911, etc if something happens.

  • 2 C in September!!  WANT.

We're having a protracted summer here. It's been 35 C and feeling like 40 C with the humidity all week. (That's the 95-105 F range.) But it's supposed to rain today and tomorrow and cool things off.

I hope it's nice and crisp and autumn-y for my wedding in a month and a bit. :P
