I mean, in the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter. The wedding money was all set aside in a specific, separate savings account before anything for the wedding was ever purchased. So paying all the final bills has no effect on day to day expenses or even on the balance of an account I actually look at. It's just the mental aspect of giving someone that much money at one time.
