Just curious.

Do any of you feel like you are more excited to get married to your FI than he is? Men and women express things so differently. How does your FI express that he is or is not very excited about your wedding/marriage?

He was excited off and on, but then again I was too. The big ta-do is not what most men get excited about. But when then time came, he was just as excited about our day, and really  enjoyed experiencing the day we had put together.

I think we were both excited off and on at different cycles.  Also, we had to find other things to talk about other than wedding items because it was driving us up the wall LOL.

Okay, thats good to hear. Some brides just go on and on about how "excited" their FI's are and ours is really more of an off and on as well. So it sounds normal :)

Most men could give one happy sh*t what colors match the linens, and flowers.

So I knew what to talk about and what to do on my own. And in the end he was very happy. He asked me to marry him again last night, I had to remind him we'd been there, done that.

Mine pissed himself every time I walked in the door. After a while, I had to stop talking to him in a high pitched voice because it would only make it worse. Oh wait. That was my dog from when I was a kid.

I think FI is excited about the actual marriage and also about the reaction his parents will have when they see our wedding.  It's normal (for NJ), but extravagant for them, and I think he's getting excited to be a little AW.

But mostly I think he just likes the marriage part.  When we were first engaged and trying to book the major stuff, we made "Planning Thursdays" so we could get our shiit together.  Now we've hit a nice lull because we've booked the most important stuff and don't have to think about the rest for some time.

My FI is really excited about some things--like the cake and the honeymoon.  Other than that, he's basically left it up to me.  I run big decisions by him, and he's gone to most vendor appointments with me, but he's another guy that's not so into all the hoopla.

Edit--We say to each other all the time that we can't wait to be married to each other.  We're both really happy to know we're spending the rest of our lives together, and I love that he will actually vocalize that to me. :-)

My H was off and on. Some days he was really excited, others he just wanted to get it over with. But I was the same way. He was more of the "just tell me when to show up" type, which was perfect for me because I got to do all the planning like I wanted.

But he was very excited to marry me. We both had reservations about the wedding since we hate being in front of people, but we got over it eventually.

My FH is very excited. Every chance he gets, he will just blurt out "You're going to be my wife." I get chills and laugh.

In some ways I felt like he wasn't going to be as excited because he was married before for 14 years, but I guess he is and that makes me feel good.
And the whole time, my future husband was in the room...... image image
