Oh that is a cute idea! I have seen the one with regular maps with like "where we met, where we married, where we live" or something like that. I was at a yard sale a few weeks ago and found some really cool old topo maps and thought that would be a cool idea. We might need to go on some better hikes before we complete that project though <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue out" title="Tongue out" />

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Show/tell me your projects : Ha ha, I'm like this about tupperware, too.  I want to replace all of it with about 10 glass storage containers, like Pyrex stuff or something.  H doesn't want to get rid of it until it can't be used anymore, so I'm to the point now where if there is the slightest hint of a stain or anything really, I throw it out.  I'm determined to never again have to deal with all those stupid plastic lids that probably don't even have a matching container, flying out of the cabinet and into my face.

We replaced all of ours with Pyrex and the ended up having to buy some plastic for freezing stuff (I buy the large container of ground beef and then divide it up).  Tupperware is the devil.

I hate tupperware too, but we have to use it for our lunches. I'm not sure what we would do without them.

I will only buy one kind of container - the Ziplock short round and tall round.  They use the same lid, and fit in the fridge and freezer well.  I was so sick of a cupboard full of 57 lids and 64 bowls that didn't match.

I so wish I could do this with all of H's black concert tees. "This Cannibal Corpse shirt, or that Cannibal Corpse shirt. Choose one!". He literally had four large 4.0cu ft boxes of them when we moved, and that wasn't counting the ones in his duffel bag. I found a plain black tee the other day and wanted to be like "SERIOUSLY? You don't have enough other black t-shirts, you need plain ones now?!".

I don't know. I hate cleaning it. I hate the way it always gets messy and there's never a good way to store it. I hate how I can't put it in the damn dishwasher because it always gets washed down and pushed against the heater and melts. I don't know if the nice glass  stuff would be any better for me. I'd rather just use ziplock bags. Not good for the environment but better for my sanity.

    1. Tupperware
    2. fitted sheets
    3. Vacuuming non-carpeted areas

Holy eff, Les. That's a lot of Tupperware!

Shan, we use Ziploc glass sandwich containers for lunch--the Pyrex stuff was oddly sized, so it's better for home use.

Anna, we had one of those, but we ended up getting rid of it. Do they have a square one? Ours was round, so it wasn't as practical for us.

MEHG IS A TERRIBLE WIFE!! Nah, N needs to do that to me sometimes. If he hadn't kicked my assss into gear, I'd still have clothes exploding out of laundry bags. I just find it hard to get rid of things.

Les, you need an Etsy shop. You make some awesome stuff.

We need a better organizational system for our closet, but it's just so overwhelming. The closet is a mix of H's office and our clothes, and he has way more clothes than me. He has a huge selection of work clothes (his stained and torn clothes) and they slowly disappear the more torn up they get. Because I do the laundry, and if it's a POS that can barely be worn, it's going in the trash. He'll wear it until it falls off him.

Some of my OCD comes out in my tupperware cabinet.  I have all of the lids with it's bowl.  It is stacked so neatly and organized.  My pantry is also pretty organized.  It is all done by like items (canned goods, bagged rice packet things (?), cereal, et cetera) and then done by size.   My closet is also color coordinated.  I sound like a crazy person, don't I?

This is me, with shirts and underwear mainly. I have lots of pretty party dresses that I keep forever and ever, though, because they're investment pieces. I also hang onto jeans forever, because my favorites are all very expensive and last a long time. I've had my favorite pair for six years now.

I'm also guilty of wrapping paper hoarding. I love wrapping paper.

Also, if anyone ever gets a gift from me in the middle of the year (or any time that's not the holidays), it's pretty much guaranteed to be in Christmas paper. It's all I have, and it's all I use.

Yes!  Michael's, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's.  My kit came with 4 different loom sizes (preemie, infant, normal adult, DH).  There are so many fun yarns out there too - cotton, alpaca, wool.

The nurses in the NICU love the hats.  (I started making them when my friend's baby spent 101 days there).  They have a basket at the nurses station and every baby gets one.  They call me 'the hat lady'.  They are so appreciative - it's very rewarding.
