How'd you get engaged? When's the wedding?
I came home from work and all my closest friend were there. He was all dressed up and he popped the question. I was caught completely of gaurd. We have our date set for 4-20-2013

Favorite thing about your FI/SO?
He loves me more then anything and any body in this whole world and shows it everyday.
Biggest annoyance?
He has a super short temper with every one else lol

Lol, this reminded me of my FSIL ( my FI's brothers soon to be wife). Her FI was silly. He told her he was going to a city about 2 hours away to do some stuff and she was like 'great I'll come too and I can get some shopping done and then we can have dinner'.. He told he no, she had to stay home and clean the house.

So he left and she was stuck home all day to stew about him being a jerk. When he finally got home she was really pissed and he was all, lets go hunting, so then she thought he had gone and bought another snowmobile and was more ticked, she finally gave in and they went and he stoped eventually the snowmobile and had her hike a bit. She got ticked and turned around to go home and when she turned around he was down on his knee and she told him to "Eff off". Then started to get it and asked if he was serious.

It is so funny to hear hear her tell it, jut the tone she used. Apparently FBIL went to the city to pick up the ring and didnt want her to know.

On a slightly different note, first time my FI said I love you.. I said 'well thats kind of creepy'
It was our 3rd date and I was a little supprised lol. I ment more along the lines of , thats weird because I love you too and it's only our 3rd date, but I guess  was really suprised that he actually said it lol.

And here is a dog that I was going to adopt, she was a SPCA rescue, had some anger issues at first but we figured it out, she was the sweetest thing, she got adopted the one day I didn't go in to see her, she was supposed to be unadoptable for another week :( aparently the home was good tho :)

I'm kinda late getting in here, but I thought I'd play too.

How'd you get engaged? When's the wedding?

FI invited me to an outdoor art exhibit at his school (he was an art major).  Turns out, this exhibit was actually just a ruse, and waiting for me there were a bunch of our friends and family, and a big giant screen on which he played this cute slideshow of us.  Then he popped out and proposed.  The wedding is probably June 1, 2013 (we should be setting the date with the Church in the next couple of weeks).

Favorite thing about your FI/SO? Biggest annoyance?

I love his sense of humor, and his selfless desire to always take care of me.  When it comes to doing things he needs to do (clean, errands, etc.) he can be really lazy.

Favorite poster here? Least? I was surprised that Kodakitty actually named me as an obnoxious poster.  Not because I'm just so awesome, but because I don't really post here very often.  I don't have a real fave, but Ricksang comes to mind because she posts a lot of stuff that makes me laugh.  I also don't have a real least favorite, only because my memory sucks pretty bad.  

Favorite thread/topic? least?  I love the "I don't get" and unpop ops kind of stuff.  So much drama.  I also don't like those threads for probably the same reason.

Any pets? photos required.  Yes Ma'am.

We were at a Cure concert, and "our" song, Pictures of You, started and J gave me a photo from 10 years prior when we met (see my bio for that weird tale). On the back of the photo J wrote "I've been looking so long at this picture of you, I can't believe you're finally mine!" I started crying, and we listened to the song, and we were holding hands. There was something on his pinky finger, like he was holding keys or something, but I didn't want to ruin the moment so I didn't try to figure out what it was. Turns out, that was my ring, and he was waiting on me to look down at it so he could ask during our song. Oops! He ended up doing it on top of a building at the end of the night, and we were completely alone. That was MUCH better. I'm with Blue; I HATE being in the spotlight.

He's spontaneous and romantic, and he's so in love with me it leaves me amazed and elated every single day. His biggest annoyance is he's messy. Like, lived alone and never bothered to organize a single thing in his house messy. I can't stand it sometimes!

We kept replacing them as they died, and Chloe thinks we still have Fred #1. We'd be on Ed #2 if she hadn't found Ed #1 dead before we could find a substitute. I'm a horrible mother who lies to her children.

How'd you get engaged? When's the wedding?

We were in Chicago this past September and he proposed after dinner at The Signature Room (which is at the top of the John Hancock building, overlooking the city).  Wedding is 11/2/12.

Favorite thing about your FI/SO? Biggest annoyance?

My favorite thing about FI is his sense of humor.  Biggest annoyance is his spending vs saving habits.

I really like just about everyone - particularly anyone with a good sense of humor.  AATB is the first poster to pop in my head.

Favorite thread/topic? Least?

I usually just lurk, but love reading the threads with drama, like AYG.  Also, the book nerd side of me loves threads with book recommendations.  As far as the ones I like least, I'd say anything wedding related since they usually consist of stupid questions.

How'd you get engaged? When's the wedding? Noodle had it all planned out - dinner and a nice walk in Rice Park in December.  It was gently snowing at 30 when we went into dinner.  When we got out, it was -25 and apparently the center of a tornado.  He still insisted on going for the walk in the park (even though I was all "DUDE. What makes you think I'm about to get out of the car in this ish?", proposed, I said "Yes, now can we go back to the car?", we smooched and then ran back to warmth.

Favorite thing about your FI/SO? Biggest annoyance? His sense of humor and how loving and affectionate he is.  Biggest annoyance is his inability to recognize that he's not right all the time.  And that he won't stop for directions even though he's got the directional sense of a drunk, half-blind hamster.

Favorite poster here? Least? Favorites are Steph, Blue, Chels, Mara, Ricks....pretty much erryone.  I'm a slut.  I don't have a least, but whoever is behind ExpiredBride is a pansy ass motherf*cker who needs to own her ish.

Favorite thread/topic? least? UO, FFF, AYG, political threads.  I hate anybody rolling in all "I ARE SNARKY SEE HOW SNARKY I ARE" because usually they are not, in fact, snarky.  They're just being heifers.

Any pets? photos required I don't have any pets per se, "my" cats are with my mom.  No pictures either.  But Peanut is an orange tabby, Buddy is a big black shorthair, and Lilly is a Maine Coon.  I *PPH* Peanut and Buddy.  Lilly can go suck it.

How'd you get engaged? J proposed on an antique sailboat during our vacation in St. Thomas.  He got on one knee on the boat and then tried to put the ring on my finger.  I made him sit first so he didn't fall or drop the ring in the ocean.  I should have taken my own advice- I lose my favorite sunglasses that night.

When's the wedding? November 2, 2013

Favorite thing about your FI/SO? We always have something to laugh about together, and I feel like if nothing in or about your relationship makes you laugh then you are screwed.

Biggest annoyance? He plays way too many video games. 

Favorite poster here? This is tough.  I like AATB, Blue and Nebb

Least? I lurk a lot, and I'm not a huge fan of Chelsea.

Favorite thread/topic? I like the fun threads (I was a fan of the spirit thread)

least? The ones that get into controversial topics (ie: abortion)

Any pets? photos required.  I have three pets- 2 cats (Cheyenne and Ada) and a fish named Karl.

Well, the SO and I have an agreement that whenever someone gets super awesome health insurance we will consider "merging."  Super romantic, I know.  We just aren't in any sort of rush, but we have been together since high school so I guess some people (not me, more the aunts) are starting to get impatient.

I still catch shiit for ruining it for him, monkey. It was a pretty awesome idea. He found an instrumental version of our song and that's what I used for walking down the aisle. It's kind of awesome. 

At that concert, I was gone to get water for us when the song started. And we had floor seats. I flew down a kazillion steps and ran through the crowd just to get to him to hear that song. I'm really thankful the intro is 78 minutes long for that one, or I could have missed the entire thing!

Walking around our city's downtown lights display at nighttime.  He wanted to take me ice skating at a rink by the display, but it was packed with kids so I decided against it.  He had to improvise, and I like it even better!!

How'd you get engaged? FI took me on a walk-started giving me sh!t about saving money so we can buy a house and get married lol then changed to love and mushy stuff and then he proposed! We have been together almost 10 years.

When's the wedding? April 20th 2013, it is my moms birthday. (she passed away 2 years ago)

Biggest annoyance? Works too hard, doesn't take enough vacation.
