Snarky Brides

Anybody?

Has anyone read Eat Pray Love?  Are you planning on seeing the movie?  I just finished tonight and I'm wondering if it will totally suck or if it can do the book justice.

Re: Anybody?

  • I have it but haven't read it for some reason
  • I'm reading it for my book club and I actually really liked it.  It was easy for me to get into, which isn't true of a lot of memoirs.

Are you planning on seeing the movie?
  • edited August 2010
Ironically, I've been too busy to read it. I have however, just got my friend who needs it more than anyone else I know to start reading it. She celebrated beginning the book by having menhdi done on her hands today. (I think it's funny that spell check tries to turn menhdi into manhood. Uh.. no.)

ETA: dear lord, the new sig is too big. Let me get on that.

  • Petra, my dog just pulled a squirrel on coffee.  He grabbed a nugget of food, threw it in the air, chased and barked at it, and then ate it.  Now he is sleeping on the couch.

Me, too.  Actually, the Italy part was my favorite part of the book.  I think they'll focus a lot on that in the movie, so it will probably be funny.

  • Jesus talk is more fun than God talk, in my experience. Jesus was a laid back dude. Drank a lot of wine, wore sandals, hung out with ladies of the night.

  • Pasquale- That is awesome! I can completely picture it. I love squirrely dogs. I'm bummed that my roommate's dogs want to kill them. I love my squirrels, they live in the backyard tree and hang out in the lilacs in front of my house. It makes me sad when she launches herself at them. Tele is excited, but not violent.

Ang- Thanks! I was getting crabby and overwhelmed at wedding planning when I first joined TK, and just realized that I'd had the old man squirrel scratching his butt as my avatar still. Figured it was time for a change, because you ladies definitely pulled me out of my funk.

I haven't read it yet either, want to, haven't found the time, or the money to buy.. Lol.

My favorite part of the trailer is when she starts laughing hysterically, and says "You're so naked!". I die everytime that part comes on..
