Late night post?

Re: Late night post?

  • I got new glasses today (well I have to wait up to 2 weeks for them, still.) one pair red and one black! I'm excited, I haven't had new glasses in 5 years and T always comments how much he hates my glasses (how nice, right?).

Tomorrow I get to pick up the pottery we painted, I'm anxious to see how it all turned out.
  • 5 years Roxy? Holy moly. What do they look like?

Kim- I always forget that your H was the missionary. You change your sig pic, and then I have to regroup. lol

  • Poor Jas and Number--I commisserate on the stress.  TMI alert--I threw up twice today before work (no, not preg) because I was such a bundle of nerves.  Once I started teaching and then getting stuff done< I felt fine, but I was super stressed.  It doesn't help that FI's fam is visiting this weekend.

  • My not yet H was in Uganda for 9 weeks and was not and is not affiliated with any churches.

    ;)
  • Reddy- Breast Cancer. We're raising money for my coworker to do the Susan G. Komen 3 day for the cure walk. So proceeds from all the sales go to her for her to donate for her walk and then, on top of that, proceeds from 1 of the items we're selling going to the breast cancer foundation. I'm excited about it but getting stressed as we're doing a booth at an event.

Jas- Yea, it was ridic. My current glasses are so scratched and beat up. Umm, the new ones are plastic frames. I don't know how else to desribe haha.
  • Kim- Your not-yet-H rocks! Strep on the birthday is no good though.

  • I bought him 3 different cupcakes in awesome flavors and he dropped one.

I'm so scared for our future babies.
  • Haha Kim. That sucks he dropped one. What flavors?
Once I made T pancakes (with syrup) in bed and he dropped the whole plate on the floor/ bed. I was not happy. Not happy at all.

This made me laugh.  Probably not the most appropriate response, but I pictured a guy with a baby just rolling out of his hands.  His face is a mixture of horror, regret, and fear.  It's actually funny visually, although the after-effect would be sad.
  • Babies should be bouncy. Why haven't we evolved that far yet?

  • Roxy- What a great fundraiser! We have a 3 day breast cancer walk here too and I know a few people who have done it. Good for you, I just did a 5k walk for the American Lung Association for asthma awareness and lung cancer awareness. Yay for cancer awareness month!

  • Syrup on the bed?!  I would go all frazzled housewife on his ass.

I got reeses, andes mints and oreo!  Each one was chocolate with the appropriately flavored frosting and a piece of whatever the flavor was on top.  He dropped the reeses which he said was his least favorite anyway (he got one bite into it) because the peanut butter frosting was kind of strong.  They all had vanilla creme middles which didn't really make sense.
  • And that's why I don't hold babies.  Can you imagine dropping someone else's kid?  My nephew is the first baby I held in years.

Roxy, did you find a dress yet?

If you replace the baby with a reeses cupcake then it's REALLY sad.

Fine, but then you can't be offended. (all of you, because Nates is speaking for all of you).

Kim would kill babies, if they didn't bounce.

(Was that as terrible as I think it is?)

  • I see you Jelique! And I am proud of your cancer walk! :D

  • It's not terrible because I WOULD.

If by kill them you mean accidentally dropping them to their death.  I don't hold babies.
  • When I was little and would play "babies" I'd pretend that there was a motion sensored cushion floor that would puff up (like those blob bouncy things) anytime something was dropped.

Those cupcakes sound amaziiiing. I want.

No dress yet, I have several contenders though!
  • Jelique!  I meant to ask you about your tattoo but I got distracted by Reeses babies.  SHOW IT TO MEEE.
  • I can see you, Jel.

I didn't think it was bad.  Anyway, it was Kim's FH who killed the cupcake. That's the real tragedy here.

Yes, that's what I meant. They are more durable when they're older, though.

  • Speaking of carrying kids...
Little dude that I work with got suuuper sick at school today. We were at lunch, and he suddenly had to lay down. I took him to class and he started gagging. By the time we went to the coat room, he just started bawling. I had to carry him to my car while the teacher got my keys out of my purse for me. :'(

  • Poor kid :(.

I'm glad we have testing tomorrow.  Even though my stress is much less than today, I still feel like I have na upset stomach.  ugh, I hate being sick.
