Crappy Vendor

So my engagment pictures felt like I was at Sears or Walmart. I hate them! We have already paid half of their BEST package. How do I bail?

Re: Crappy Vendor

  • If you have a contract, read it. Proceed as directed. If you don't have a contract, tthen you shouldn't have paid half already. If this is the case, send a certified letter to cancel your arrangement and take a loss on the deposit.

  • First, post the pictures here.

  • Actually, it was recommended that we use him. I did notice when we were posing but figured the pictures would come out great. That didn't happen. So now i'm going take action.

<div>Did you go with based only on recommendation? Did you seriously not look at any of his portfolio or prior photoshoots? Truly brilliant move if so.</div>

  • UHHH... i'm not that stupid. i DID look at portfolios and other work he has done. BUT I didn't look at anyone else!! OMG.. i thought i asked a question on how to bail from this.. but now i'm done. Thanks for some of the help and some of the NON-HELP.
  • Talk to the vendor. I know my senior pictures came out awful! My mother told them simply that she wasn't paying for them. They agreed that they could have done better. I went in a month later (No additional cost), got a new photographer and told them some of the concerns I had. That time they worked with me more and the pictures came out great. I'm not someone who complains but pictures NEED to look good. I really believe your vendor will work with you if you talk to them before they print the pictures.
