Whats one of your first memories as a kid?
Early.  I remember being in my crib

One of your happiest childhood memories?
Riding with my dad in his tractor trailer on sundays when I was about 2.

Dance

My thumb and a teddy bear that had a rainbow heart and played music.

Excellent idea roxy - I think lots of us will need some happy thoughts tonight after these ghost stories, myself included!

Whats one of your first memories as a kid?  I actually remember having my diaper changed - but it wasn't by anyone I recognize.  Just some random girl my parents hired before settling on their regular one.  So weird.

One of your happiest childhood memories?  Visiting my mom's side of the family in California.  I loved going there and I loved all those relatives so much.  I would cry so hard when we said goodbye to them - cry the whole way home on the plane, the whole way back in the car.  Cry myself to sleep for days after getting home.  I was always happiest as a child when I was out there.

Favorite thing to do when you were little? Oddly enough - tell stories, which is what I do for a living now I also liked climbing trees and being a wild child on the farm.

Did you have any type of security item? Growing up I had a pink baby doll that I slept with until my high school boyfriend (who I'm now marrying) gave me this nasty looking koala bear for Valentine's Day.  I started sleeping with that because my baby doll was reduced to a rag and I didn't want it to completely fall apart.  When my fiance and I got back together and I showed it to him he thought it was a riot.

Other happy thoughts?  I'm getting married in 101 days   That's a pretty happy thought.

ETA - PAS!  That's perfect.  Well, obviously!

Whats one of your first memories as a kid? I remember what my room as a 2 year old looked like even though there are no pictures of it. Other than that, I remember learning how to read and the amazing preschool I went to.
One of your happiest childhood memories? Theres a lot but playing with the boys down the street when I was 5 is a top one.
Favorite thing to do when you were little? Play babies.
Did you have any type of security item? I had these matching pink and yellow blankets until I was 6 and I gave them to my dog when we got him. After that I had this large "purple blanket' until I met T. Now I have a little travel pillow I dont like to sleep w/o

Other happy thoughts? We go back home to Alaska in a month! I cant wait.

I didn't know you were from Alaska, rox - kinda sad about Sen. Stevens today No matter what people thought of him, it's a pretty tragic way for a life to end.

Whats one of your first memories as a kid?  Going on vacation the summer after my little sister was born.  My grandparents came with us and made my older sister and I feel special again because my little sis was the baby from hell.

One of your happiest childhood memories?  Anytime I spent one on one time with my grandmother she was an amazing woman.

Favorite thing to do when you were little?  Ride my bike or play on the swingset.

Did you have any type of security item?  I do not want to offend anyone but my cabbage patch doll was my security item.  I was 2 when I got her and her name was Black Baby.  My cousin who is my age had a white one named Baby so I thought it was logical. 

Other happy thoughts?  C should be home on Thursday!  I miss him so much.  I don't know how I did a deployment...

Oh yes, from age 2 I also had a baby doll my grandpa got me that was called "grandpa baby", I think I was most attached to that. He even bought a backup juuust in case it got lost. I still have Grandpa baby.

Oh, and I also sucked my thumb..until I was 10.

Between Black Baby and Grandpa Baby... lol.

The Black Baby story reminds me of this nonsense word my younger sister made up when we were really, really little - WAY too young to know any better.  She'd run around saying "jiganig" over and over and over again.  And the way she'd say it was just hilarious and we still laugh about it today, but I remember the first time she ever said it in public - my mom just got really stiff and told us not to ever say it unless we were at home.

I sucked my thumb, too, Roxy.  Nothing beats reasurance .

One time FI saw a carriage with, as he describes it, either a wrinkly baby or a really, really small old man.  That's the best description he can give of this mystery creature.  Whenever we see a baby I say "Now THIS is a baby, not an old man."

I also had 2 imaginary friends. Poopedoop and Peep.

Poopedoop was a little viatnamese girl with a dark black, straigh bob. She wore pink footie pajamas with the butt flap and she was around until I was about 7. She was also known to poop her pants.

Peep- Was a blonde little boy who wore jeans and a blue and white striped shirt with red, hightop Chuck Taylors. He didn't come around very much though.

That is so funny AATB!  My older sister told my mom that she couldn't believe they were grocery shopping with Bill Cosby when she was like 3 years old.  My mom was completely mortified.
