Good Sunday morning

Good morning! Is it a TK glitch that I don't see a new post, or are y'all really that thrown off by the time change?  I for one, am that thrown off by the time change.

What's everyone doing today?  I think we're going to go mess around in the garden area of the yard and see what we have to work with this year.

Re: Good Sunday morning

  • I'm with you on the thrown off Pirate. H thinks I'm crazy and it cant possibly mess with me. Bullshit! I have science behind me!

Today is going to be laundry, light cleaning and booking our hotel for London baby!

I'm so glad I didnt post a moring thread, I was just getting ready to.

  • Well, I can no longer see my OP, and a minute ago the entire thread was gone.  So I'm thinking TK is way thrown off by the time change too.

Also my fb chat thinks it's Friday.  That would be nice.
  • And its says JCB responded as well

[QUOTE]Oh hey. I was JUST getting ready to start a morning thread. I'm up. We're packing up at the hotel before heading to the ILs for a late breakfast before hitting the road for home. Can't wait for my own bed & the dogs. Even though it's only been 2 days. Pirate, come plant my garden for me? I so want one but I'm also lazy when it comes to that stuff. We shall see. What are you going to grow?

</div><div>I'm not sure yet what we're going to plant.  I'm thinking that instead of planting spring crops and then summer crops we'll spend the spring getting the soil ready for summer planting.  And we'll probably also plant herbs, because I usually do those in pots so they're not a big deal.  This is our first year in our house, and there's an established bed in the yard, but it's not in great shape, the last owners weren't outdoor people.  </div>

  • This is TOOC ONFUSING FOR MORNING.

Guys, we JUST got up.  I freaked when I looked at my phone and it said 10:30.  They H reminded me it was DST, but I was still upset because HOLY CRAP HALF OF MY DAY IS GONE.

I need to grocery shop, and do work, and clean the kitchen, and my map came in the mail yesterday so I really wanted to work on that, but I don't know if I'll get that far.

Cool, make sure you take pictures when you finish it.

And I know how you feel, my day is gone!

  • Good Morning!

I just pulled a batch of egg muffins out of the oven and started a roast in the crock pot.  I'm trying to decide to go for a walk since it's so nice out or just bite the bullet and go get a good work out in at the gym.

Other than that I'm trying to find tickets to MN in May and see if we can get a hotel room for less than $100/night while we're there.
  • You can definitely get a hotel room for less than $100 a night.  Especially if you don't need all the bells and whistles.  Maybe not right in the middle of the cities, but they're there!

  • Yeah, I know I can priceline it and get something closer to $50 but I don't know if we should stay at the hotel that rooms are blocked for.  It's in Bloomington and there are other less expensive options there but I don't know if it would be rude to not stay in the same hotel that the rest of the family is staying in...
  • I don't think it's rude.  Hotel rooms are blocked as a convenience to guests, not to force you to stay there.

    Good morning!

Yeah, the time change really threw me. I'm glad I decided to work yesterday instead of opening today. That would have been terrible.

Not much going on today. H got up a couple of hours before I did, as usual, so he went and got donuts. I love him so much right now. Other than that, we have to go grocery, and try to find someplace that will have the kind of sunglasses that I need.

  • Morning!

I don't care about DST--we usually sleep in until we feel like getting up, lol. So even though it sucks that we're an hour ahead, we didn't get up any earlier than we would have.

I just sat down to breakfast (pumpkin pancakes, bacon, coffee) and I'm going to plan our meals out for the week.  Bax and I will do our long weekend walk, clean, type up my lessons and grade some work, then Sunday night tv! Typical Sunday.

KD, I'm so jealous of your England trip, lady! We are trying to plan a quick getaway to  Vegas over my Spring break, mainly because if I don't gtfo of here, I might kill someone.
  • That's good to hear, J.  I'm going to try to find something cheaper then.

And I think I'm also off to work out.  Have a good day ladies!
  • Good afternoon! We actually went to brunch for once this morning, and I ended up being super annoyed-we went to Granite City and it just wasn't a good experience. So I think we will avoid going there, at least that location, again. Sucks because it used to be my fave but it was... not good.

Today I am hoping to finish up the bathroom that I started yesterday. I am excited to see the finished look.

I loved Vegas, we had a blast. And pumpkin pancakes sound delish!

  • I wasn't sure how the pumpkin pancakes would be with syrup and all, but they were AMAZING. Mmm, so good.

I actually really like Vegas (been twice).  I didn't think I would, because I hate gambling and thought I'd feel like it was all sleazy and skeevy--and don't get me wrong, there is that part, of course--but I really enjoyed looking at all the themed casinos, doing the activities, etc.  The husband's never been and he actually enjoys gambling, so it should be fun.  Since we won't be getting a trip to MSP for work, we might as well do this!
  • Morning! Yes, I said that, since I just got up lol. A friend of mine invited me out with him and his GF and his GF's best friend, and we had fun. I didn't drink much (three drinks in the course of about 4 hours), but I'm hungover nonetheless. I think it's because I haven't really drank since New Year's because of my half marathon training. It freaked us out when we got in the cab last night and my phone said 0330. I had forgotten about the time change.

Oh, and I went shopping yesterday, and got the cutest stuff to refresh my wardrobe for Spring/Summer. I got a pair of white denim bell bottoms (they're more Anne Hathaway than Saturday Night Fever), a floral chiffon blouse, a super cute baby pink hair flower/pin, some pink and cream dangly earrings and a pair of nude wedge espadrilles. I have lunch with a girl friend of mine next Saturday, and I can't wait to rock my new stuff.
