it sad becuase of the consequeces. I see parents bringing in their kids ( 12 yo girl) for an abortion... someone with 6 foster kids becuase the parents were unwilling or unable to care for them ( but yeah for foster parents) its all fine and good to say that i am judgemental  and condesending when you dont have to deal with the consequences ..(of a lack of parental training/involvement... lack of self control.. lack of respect for self).. on a daily basis. Yeah for you if you are a responsible adult with the choices that you make but the majority of people are not.

Just becuase you have the right to do something doesnt mean you should. Whether its this  (a topic that wont die) or any other choice

Yes, but you're lumping everyone in with those who haven't made the best choices. That is not fair. It's not fair to say someone who is engaged is "Sad" for having safe sex with their fiance.

 In regards to sex: Not everyone plans on getting married. Should they be virgins? I can use birth control both before and after marriage. Not using bc has nothing to do with my marital status.

I like Glee. What is preachy? The whole tolerance thing? Cuz I kind of dig that.

P.S. I don't think you can speak to the majority of anything. I didn't read the other thread, and my commitment level to this conversation is about a 2, but really it sounds like your perspective is a bit skewed.

But these things also arise out of sex within marriage.  So by your reasoning there's no problem with 16 year olds getting married to have sex "responsibly" and then sex is okay in that situation because marriage is involved.  Marriage doesn't magically make everything better.

Also, you have no idea what many of us do for jobs and whether or not we work in this field.  I'm sure you've chosen your profession so if its too much figure something else out.  I volunteer in a daycare specifically for single mothers that are trying to complete college classes at night.  I deal with these problems and again I contend it isn't a matter of premarital sex.
