There has been alot of problems lately and it sucks. I feel like I am always there for everybody else but when it comes to me, I don't have that.  Now that all the problems have to do with me I don't have anybody to talk to.

dang, now I feel bad about what I just wrote.  But my budget for the last 2 months have been totally out of whack due to this, and those red lines on my financial planning software are making me stressed out!

Sarah, I think I asked you last week, maybe you didn't see the post.  Is everything ok?
  • edited December 2011
Sarah (((HUGS)))  I've been in your place and it's no fun :(  If you need to talk we are all here, okay?

Thanks Mariah and Shortgirl. The past month and a half have sucked. Sorry Mariah I didnt see your comment. I just feel like nobody is there when I need them. FI is going through alot right now and I dont expect him to be there. The stress and everything is putting a toll on our relationship as well. When somebody is constantly putting you down its hard to gain your strength again.

I haven't read through everything else but you're right, Mariah, Bush did these too.  However, I never got an email about it from the district.

I'm not trying to be a brat but it really irks me that i've had offers for showers from coworkers and distant friends. But not from the 3 friends that I've thrown showers for in the past, including one being a wedding and a baby shower. Maybe it's too early for them to have thought about it, but I've been friends with these girls for over 14 years. It makes me sad :o( Is it because they aren't in my wedding party? And is it wrong I didn't have them in my wedding party when I wanted to keep small? I know that they were the mature enough friends who could handle not being in it.

I'm annoyed with everyone posting this on FB and Twitter today: "No one should die because they cannot afford health care, and no one should go broke because they get sick. If you agree, please post this as your status for the rest of the day."So I just posted this: "No one should just parrot back what they're being told to do by Facebook, and everyone should know that it's okay to have your own opinions and thoughts on an important matter. If you agree (or disagree), please post something in your own ...words in your Facebook status, or don't post about it at all if you don't want. :)"

Mandy, Thank you so much for what you posted.  My kids walk around parroting what they've heard and seen all the time.  I keep telling them to be original.

I shamelessly sell my OU/TX student tickets every year for large sums of money and I don't feel bad about it.

People are getting all pissy with me, too. It's not that I don't agree with the sentiments, per se.  It's just that I don't think I should be told "if you agree, repost this as your status."   Great, so we have a bunch of lemmings saying "Oh yeah! Me too! I agree with that!" when they really aren't educated on universal healthcare at all.  THAT is what bothers me.

I completely agree with you Mandy.. and was like WTF at some of the responses to your earlier status message.

Quick thread hijack--it doesn't deserve a thread of its own: Do you think local florist shops would deliver flowers on Labor Day? It's FMIL's bday and all the online sites don't deliver the day of, day before, OR day after.

I'm really tempted to go home and skip my work out. But I know that I'll just fall asleep and then feel bad about it. Ugh.

I TOTALLY agree with the 'friends not being excited about your wedding' complaint.  My wedding is in 6 months, and I have not had ONE offer for a shower, or any offer to help me with anything from my bridesmaids.  And, two of them have had bridal showers thrown by me when they got married! (AND I threw shower, bought and got a bridesmaid dress altered, bought bachelorette and wedding gifts for one, and then she did not even get married!)  AND none of them has bought their dress yet, even though it takes at least 4 months to arrive!I feel guilty for saying that I am upset about it because it sounds selfish, but it really isnt about the money, I just feel like no one is excited. Yet, I was soo excited for all of them. When I send emails out about the wedding (info aout dresses...etc..), they dont even respond! I really think it is rude.

One of my teachers doesn't know how to use Blackboard (FYI it's the school's way of having assignments and important documents available online). She told the entire class if we couldn't see her course online it was because we hadn't paid... Hmmm, REALLY the entire class hasn't paid? Someone finally had to log in for her and push the "activate" button.I feel like a big girl. I went to the office and complained about the howling dog upstairs and the stomping. They were very apologetic and said they've received similar complaints and will have a chat with them. (Before you say I didn't do anything, DH went and actually talked to them about the dog. They leave her in a crate all day so she "won't tear things up.")

I'm so glad we don't do a Flame Free Saturday.  Because then it would be "FFS" which would make me think "For F***s Sake" and that's just wrong.
