Tide- I know you are away from your daughter and H, but if you don't mind why are you away from them? I think I may have missed the reason behind it.

Dodgers - I'm in training to become a K9 officer.  The training is 10 weeks long, in GA.

Jas - If (when) Trooper and I pass validation next week, I will get to bring him home, but he will live at a kennel.  Agency policy is that the dogs stay kenneled when in service, so as to standardize care, but it's more important for the agriculture dogs.  They can't be kept in personal homes because they'll be around kitchen smells all of the time, so they won't want to work when they have to.

Trooper will be able to come home with me when he retires.  Assuming that he isn't forced into retirement early for medical reasons, that's around age 9.
