Any House fans?

I just watched the finale.  What did you think?  Were you surprised about how they ended it?

I never really followed the storyline until I met FI and he watched every single episode.  I thought they ended it perfectly.

I haven't watched in a while either after he started melting medication and injecting it.

I did hear about the end though, and while I'm surprised, I thought it was pretty sweet.  I know they kept that particular character trait rather hidden when I was watching, so it was awesome to hear it finally came out.

I really enjoyed it. They even managed to surprise me with the end.  I have never followed House religiously so I missed some of the character development. I do really like the show in general though. 

I greatly enjoyed the retrospective too, particularly Hugh Laurie's insanely hot natural voice.

I fell alseep until about 11 and I've been drinking fluids like my life depends on it, so I'm feeling a bit better.  I think it's one of those 24 hour stomach bugs.

The restrospective killed. I love how they ended the series too. I am SO going to miss House. I've seen every episode from the beginning, and I love him, even though he's an ass. I actually kind of got emotional last night.

I just feel as though he finally got up and did something because he realized he wanted to live so he could solve puzzles but then destroyed his own life so he and Wilson could drive off into the sunset together. Which, I mean it's House and he's crazy, so I get it, but I can't help wondering what the hell he would do with himself after Wilson dies.

And I'm not sure I believe he could have gotten out before the explosion and then somehow changed the dental records before the coroner got to them.

I got extremely emotional at the funeral part.

Oh and when he left Foreman his badge under the side table- how would he get in and out of there with no one seeing him?  There were some parts that seemed impossible, but in theory, it was awesome.

I think they should have made the retrospective only a half hour (I think they gave Hugh carte blanche to do whatever he wanted and I thought it dragged towards the end) and then made the finale an hour and a half. It felt rushed in places -- like the dental records and the badge and whatnot.

I think he did the dental records and the ID badge thing before the burning building, but that wouldn't explain the weird hallucinations in said building. 

I also wonder what he will do after Wilson dies. hmmmm.

Hmmm... that almost makes more sense. But yeah why did he do smack? Why did he almost decide to die? I guess I'm supposed to come to my own conclusions about all that ...

I briefly wondered if they purposely left it open in case they ever wanted to reopen the series.

Or he will inherit all of Wilson's money.. that he didn't blow on the sports car they wrecked a couple weeks ago.

In an interview I watched a few days ago Hugh Laurie said this was very unlikely.

I called the ending during Wilson's speech (before he got the text). The entire episode was about him trying to get out of prison and trying to have a plan and a puzzle.

I also think Foreman knew what House did when he picked up the badge. And I'm going to assume he did the dental stuff and the badge thing before he "died".
