J- if you wake each other up, get the memory foam one.  Ours is perfect for us because H's side is plush and my side is firm for my back.  And when he tosses and turns like the rhino he is in bed, he doesnt bounce me off the bed anymore.

she likes peaches and yellows.  I hate both those colors.  H uses the bathroom upstairs, and I used the  bigger one downstairs.  I let him paint it whatever he wanted and he painted it this god awful canary blinding piss colored yellow.  Its shameful.

I could see yellow in a kitchen (if it's a 50s-ish house), but that's the only room.  We have yellow accents in our room, but I'd never paint the walls yellow.

Stef- its awful.  The bathroom is small with only a standup shower.  Its got the slanted ceiling.  Its terrible, lol.  Its like an assault in the morning.

Dining area/kitchen

Kitchen.  The backsplash is my favorite thing in the whole house.



Main level living area.  This is just to the right of the dining area.

Master, that's about to get much prettier.

Lower level living area.  This will be a home gym area, most likely.

Deck off the dining/kitchen

Formal sitting room, which I think we'll make the TV room.  I don't know why the paint looks so green, it's really more brown.

Back of the house.  There were photos of that tree in the fall, it gets BRIGHT orange, and it's gorgeous.  I love it.

Ah, three cheers for home and property prices in SEMN!  ;)  I bet it's half the price, if not even 1/3 of the price that a similar house would go for out there.

All the victorian houses here have the dark walls.  The deep reds, blues, etc.  I love them.  Especially with white trim.

H got me this case. I love how slim it is, but I'm not a huge fan of the light. The one I had before was flexible and had two settings. The one on that case is super bright.

A house like that, with say 3 bedrooms, would go for about 550K-600K depending on the upgrades.

Lol, when i was picking colors, i bought the 8oz samples and made little patches of color on every wall in the house.  For the living room I tested out at least 10 different shades of blue.

Now, we just got the bed and dresser today and so we realized after the fact that the pictures will need to be moved up. We also have a TV that normally goes on the dresser. Opposite the bed is our walk-in closet and to the left of that the door. Next to the door will be my sewing desk. The bathroom is to the right. The walls are a light robins egg blue in both the bathroom and bedroom.

Jeepers.  I'm so glad we live in the midwest.  I can assure you that we're not THAT ballin'!!  Haha.

We're going back to get samples tomorrow.  I have like 4 different colors I want to sample for the walls, and poor H is all "Uh, are you SURE those are different colors??"

And the bedding is pale blue from West Elm (I love their bedding)

My next room to decorate is our bedroom with some art and headboard.

Also, just for fun- my fave paint color ever is Tranquil Aqua by Sherwin williams-

Kate I was in West Elm the other night and got into it with the sales lady.  I had just gotten a pedicure next door so i was in sweats and flip flops.  She tells me at 7:45 that the doors are locked so she needs to walk me out.

I asked what time they closed, she said 8, I said well, what time is it, she said "well past 8".  I flipped my shiit on her.
