I'm ok. I'm exhausted actually; I didn't sleep well last night.  BUT I just bought a new quilt for the new house, and I'm love.  I also chose the paint color for the bedroom

Not too bad. I slept so late, so now I feel like doing nothing and everything all at once .

I think we might pick up some food and we're watching the Morganza Spillway flooding in Lousianna.

I hate when I do that!

I don't want to watch the Morganza Spillway coverage. it hits too close to home for me. I'd rather be ignorant of the whole thing than sit there and watch it. I agree that it was very necessary, though. I think they should have done it earlier.

Dh and I went to breakfast, then birthing class, then Home Depot to order our new laundry machines. We got smaller ones than what DH wanted, but saved some money. He wanted the biggest capacity washer, but only because it had a color LCD screen, not because we need that much more capacity (.5 cu ft). We got the LG steam series in white. They will be here on Friday. Now I have to sell our old ones, because they are in really good condition, we just wanted an upgrade. After I do all our laundry for the week, I'll list them on Craigslist, and try to recover some of the gazillion $ we spent today.

We're eating jambalaya, H is playing a game and I'm doing odds and ends. We might go see Thor in a bit, or wait until tomorrow. I swear we had a hurricane blow through earlier, but now it's sunny and hot out.

I'm at work (what else is new lately?) and then I'm going home to read. I finished two books yesterday and am really getting into this new one now, so I'm going to go home and finish it.

Other than that, not much is new. I'm going to go to the Low-Income Housing probably Monday to see if I can get on the list for an apartment. I'm hoping sooner rather than later, because I really need to get out of this place..

People have been preparing all week, so its not like its a surprise to thse that will lose their homes, camps and land, but its still really sad. Hopefully everyone evacuated like they were told to do. Its really kind of hard to tell how much will overflow from the Atchafalaya, but it was done to save BR and NO, and I'm glad they did it. I just wish they had done it more gradually, earlier, before the flooding started up North, so it would have had time to run to the ocean better ad would have save a couple inches of flooding to people North, you know. But hindsight is 20/20. <div>
</div><div>The current Atchafalaya basin (before flooding) reaches to about 30 miles from my home town, so I'm not really worried that it will go that far, but its still very hard to watch. </div>

My pissy mood from this morning has spilled over into this afternoon, although I had a fairly productive day. Went to the market, went to the nursery TWICE, mucked about in my garden a bit before it rained, worked out and then decided fuuck it and bought beer. Beer will solve my problems, for sure.

I hear ya, Sarah.  I understand that they're doing this as "the lesser of two evils" but it's still devastating for those involved.  I don't blame you for not watching. 

On another note, why do so many female newscasters dress like hookers? Way too much makeup, hair and sexy business clothes.  Guess they shop at the Express wear to work section.

I saw that a lot of critics didn't like Something Borrowed, but most viewers did. Meh,what else do we have going on? :P  I don't feel like seeing THor and there's nothing else out now, except Bridesmaids and I'm saving that for my MOH.

I just want to leave work already.. It's so slow the phones haven't rang a single time. I just want to be home with my boys already.

It probably doesn't help that FI and I are going to go check out a few bakers Monday when he gets home and take the boys to go see their first movie together! Then I get to go home and have pulled pork that will be cooking all day in the slow cooker!

Really FI just needs to get home already I miss him damn it lol.

FI laughs at me because I always stay after the credits.... Who's the one who knows more about the ending than you ? That's right me!

Especially after comic book movies because that's how they introduce the next movie. Funny how many people didn't know about the Avengers coming out, if you would have stayed throughout the credits it told you who in the Avengers came out next!

But...nates...it's not just Vin Diesel. It's also The Rock. AND they get into a big man muscle fight. And Paul Walker, who looks good and I usually don't even think he's all that hot. And Tyrese from 2 Fast, and Han from Tokyo Drift. Take your pick!
