How did anyone get the better of me? Just curious.

I'm calm. I was annoyed for about 10 minutes because of his reaction.
This did not happen at a restaurant in front of his mother. It happened at our kitchen table in front of the dogs.  I said that he does it in restaurants too....and that his mother also does it.

FI Doesn't notice he's doing it and he doesn't think it's a negative. I guess I'm just glad that we live in the sticks.

Maybe serve rolls with dinner? Use the roll to push food on the fork. And you get to eat a dinner roll! Everyone wins!

ha ha I do have mind reading capabilities! I was referring to the pp who said a new troll had popped up and it looked like they were being really rude so I said that LOL so it was a at a restuarant so I can totally see speaking to him about that!!  and yes thankfully you live in the sticks so it's not too big of a thing :)

This btw is what I was talking about in my previous comment about the troll getting the better of you....not in the situation but in the comments!!

Bleh, my brother chews with his mouth open and he sounds like a disgusting cow. It is nauseating. My FI constantly touches his face, which also drives me crazy. Boys are gross.

I don't think it is wrong to tell the person you love and live with that something he does gives you a case of the skeeves. Hell, even tell him a couple times if he seems to have forgotten. No one wants an awful nag, but no one wants to go around grossing out their life partner either. If I do something gross and don't realize it, I'd sure want to know about it, even if it embarrasses me at first. I'd rather be embarassed for a few minutes than live my life not knowing my husband is totally grossed out by me for some mindless habit that I could change. If your guy is too weak to take a little criticism, that is where the problem is, not the fact that you brought it up.
