Snarky Brides

Gah! Why do people do this?!

I just got a call from my immediate supervisor asking me to come in tomorrow afternoon to meet with her and my clinical supervisor.  I asked if I was in trouble and she said "Nope!  I don't think so!" fairly cheerfully, but that still makes me really nervous.  I'm quite sure I haven't done anything to get myself in trouble but there's something about being summoned to the boss's office that is nerve wracking none the less!  Someone pat me on the head, would ya?

  • Pat pat. I hate when I get emails from my supervisor that say "Can we meet this afternoon to discuss some important business?" Then it's just about how my employees are doing and how I'm doing with my schedule. Gah! But I love my supervisor and she likes me and relies on me for a lot, so that makes me feel better.

This is what i was thinking too.

J&K I know the feeling. It's dreadful. But it's so easy to automatically assume the worst. If you've done nothing wrong then who's to say they aren't going to reward you in some way?
  • Nebb, when my coworker was my boss for a brief period, she used to do that crap to me, but over the weekend. I'd get in on Monday morning to 25 urgent messages saying that I messed stuff up when I really hadn't, but I didn't feel like I could even defend myself. I had a breakdown, and she quit doing that.
