How is everyone doing today? I think its going to be a good day. My buddy at work just got back from NYC and brought me a cookie, so I have that to look forward to, AND were all going out for lunch. Its always a blast when we go out for lunch. I fully expect today to be pointless at work, because the VP commented to me yesterday that everyone knows that the friday of a short week is pretty much a vacation day cause no one does anything. Im taking that as an invitation!

I have to take vin for a follow up at the vet after work. Im pretty positive he is still a bit tender, but fine. He was lugging his heart (this big heart plush toy) around lastnight and sucking on a corner, and thats the first time Ive seen him put anything in his mouth since last week so I think thats a good sign.

Neb, glad he's doing better : Morning! We are having some friends visit tonight so I'm looking forward to that. I'm also meeting my parents to pick up my dress. My dad joked with me last night over an enormous pasta dinner in the North End that hopefully it will fit after all of that food. Luckily I'm getting a CT scan for my belly this am so I can't eat until close to noon, lol. Oh! When I went home last night I took a ferry instead of a train and let me tell you how relaxing it was. We passed right by the tall ships in the harbor so I got to "see" them.

Morning! I'm still on vacation with my family and in need of some alone time. :-) my mom and I just finished a 30 mi ute workout at the gym here and the air was broken inside. Ugh. hallo!  I have spent the last 7 days in moving/reno hell...and by hell I mean sometimes hell and sometimes awesomeness. So far we have taken out most of a wall in the kitchen and started building a playroom (for our non-existent children, so really, a workout room) in the basement. It is all framed and today should be getting some dry wall after DH gives the living room a final coat of paint. By the end of today all three bedrooms and the living/dining room will be painted. There is still plenty to do though and it will take us most of the summer because we have cottage trips planned and we have to go to St. Lucia.  Fun times! 

I wish I had more time to post here, I miss you ladies

Morning! It's payday so that's always good. Otherwise FI has off work tonight so we will probably have a date. I've been having issues with Sadie barking at everything. She woke us up last night because there was a frog outside and she could hear it. I dont know what to do.

Glad Vin is feeling better.

So, my little brother popped the question last night and is engaged. Pretty much everyone in the family knew it was coming except for her. I'm happy for him, provided they wait until after graduation and getting jobs before getting married (which is their plan, thankfully). I like them together and wish them the best, but they aren't ready to get married.

I realized last night though why it kind of bums me out. I'm kind of sad that he's growing up. I'd love a life do-over where I could go back and hang out with him and be closer, be a better sister. We won't get that chance anymore, since it's now him and her instead of just him.

Good morning! I am home for the week because I dropped chem II and lab and switched my schedule so instead of doing classes this July I start my RD rotations at the WIC office next week! Had to come home and buy scrubs and get money! I miss hanging out here, it sucks I missed the douche in yesterday's Unpop op post!

Good morning.  I'm glad the pup appears to be doing better, Nebb!   Good luck at the follow up.

We have a new person starting at work today.  Hopefully this means at least some of this workload will be more evenly distributed.  I'm swamped and it's stressful.

So, my uncle passed away this week and I've been asked to play taps at the grave side service on Sunday.  I know I should, and I hate to say no but I'm just not sure I can do it.  I don't know, I need to tell them by today, but I've got to go home and play it a few time and see if I can actually get through it...  Too many funerals going on lately.

good morning! Lbarr, I'm jealous of your pasta dinner. YUM. Good luck with everything, Numbers. I'm secretly jealous of people who can reno their houses. I feel like I just wouldn't even have good ideas. I do want to tile my bathroom though sometime this fall though, we'll see how that goes!

work, then mini pre-birthday celebration for me at my house. Just buying a couple bottles of wine and some fancy cheese. i love fancy cheese.

Shay's uncle, edie, not mine.

Shay, my mom and stepdad were with my brother when he got the thing. And they can't keep a secret, so yeah, we all knew. I'll say though, I'm surprised because I always thought he'd be a player so I'm proud of him for not being a douche like my stepbrother. He's been with her since like 11th grade (not that that says too much considering they are only 19 and 20, but still).

aaaand hi PSU! Tell us about yourself.

My work a/c is finally going again! I walked in to the office and it was almost chilly. It feels fantastic- it's been so muggy and nasty in here the last week.  I think we're finally getting a break in the heat tomorrow too. I just want to sleep with my windows open.

H is hanging out with the guys tomorrow night, and I convinced him to just plan on staying at his friend's place so I don't have to worry about when to pick him up (they'll all be drinking. a lot.) So now I'm trying to figure out what to do since I'll have the house to myself

PSUbride...the tuxes were rentals and I had nothing to do with them...DH and his Best Woman went to rent them and I think it was from a Canadian retailer (Tip Top).

Sorry...but to be honest I never really thought about the tuxes much...they got black tuxes, don't they all kind of look the same?

both H and I got invited to grillout/parties and he asked me this morning if we should stick together and OH JOY I can drive him home, or if he should just stay at his buddies place. Definitely prefer if he stays at the guys'. Otherwise I get woken up at 4 to be told, "I made a pizza, do you want a bite?"

Funny how getting one vial of blood taken hurt like hell but last time when they took 3 or 4 I didn't feel a thing. I'm starving, damn scan. Also, I don't know what's going on lately but I've seen more "young professionals" who seem to think club attire is work appropriate. This could qualify as an "I don't get it".
