Bizarre Dreams: Tell 'em!

I think stress makes me have ridiculous dreams! The past week I've had the most realistic, bizarre dreams. So tell me your latest and I'll tell you mine!

Two nights ago I dreamed I had to fill in for a HS marching band flute player in a competition. I've never even touched a damn flute, but I had to figure out how to play "God Bless America" for this competition. I had to wear the big hat, costume, everything. And my fingers wouldn't do the little keys right. I figured I could play the first note in each score and hold it, so I was trying to memorize that since I can't read music. I even made the "This one time, at band camp..." joke in my dream! Odd.

Last night I dreamed I was painting our bedroom in DH's house, and the girls decided they wanted to go swimming. I got to the pool and remembered I only bought a bathing suit top, no bottom last week, so we took off for the mall, which was in the same parking lot as the pool. I put a wrap dress over my bathing suit top to go inside the mall, and in my car was a note that said: "You are beautiful and I'm in love with you. I give you all my cookies you'll ever want with my heart. Come see me for a sample of both!" It was from the Great American Cookie Company cookie sampler guy that stands out in front of the cookie store. I got freaked out and put the girls back in the car and left. WTF?

I already posted this on my club board, but I had a dream two nights ago that my mom decided she was getting married on my wedding day.  Which is stupid, because my mom and dad have been married for 30 years.  She was going the whole nine yards -- wearing a big white wedding dress and veil, planning this huge affair.  And she kept screaming at me that I was "being a bridezilla" for getting upset with her for planning her wedding the same day.  I wasn't even upset in the dream.  I was just really, really confused.

I had a dream sunday night that I was in this castle type of building and there was a "zombie outbreak" (but I think it was a game), and I was with shelly and she became a zombie and since I was right next to her she cornered me and started trying to poke me. I kept slapping at her to stop but she poked me anyways and I turned into a zombie too. We then went down this wooden coridor, after securely locking a door behind us and made our way into the kitchen (which was my kitchen). We met up with 2 other zombies and I asked the one "hows your lip" in zombie slur, and he asked me the same back. Then we ate vanilla cake.

Saturday night I dreamed that for some reason FI and I were helping my sister move into married student housing at LSU. IRL, she is not married, but she does attend there. She wasn't married in the dream either. It was weird. Anyway, we got her all moved in, but then realized that there was no back door to the townhouse type place. There was a hole for a door, but no actual door, so there was a gaping hole.

We asked the super about it and they said the doors were on order, but due to recent state budget cuts, their delivery might be delayed. Um, what was she supposed to do? Sit by the door with a shotgun all day?

We went out to buy her a door and get dinner. At home depot, all of the doors were odd sizes and none of them fit, so we decided just to get some chicken wire and barbed wire to at least block access a little bit. We are country folk, what can I say. I'm sure plywood would have made more sense, but this is a dream.

Then we went to dinner at a hole in the wall place about a mile or so from campus, in a shady neighborhood. Some sort of altercation took place while we were there, so we got up and ran to the parking lot. FI got in the car and peeled out of there, but he left me behind. I had to wallk back alone. I was so confused because he gave no indication that he was mad at me, he just left me there.

Then I woke up. I was pissed at him for about an hour. I'm sure there was more to the beginning of the dream, but I can't recall.

I had a terrible dream that H and I had a baby boy and he was kind of ugly and so I didn't want to "waste" this particular family name on him that I love and have always wanted to name my first son (I called dibs on it in high school). I was trying to convince Ben we should name him after someone on BEN'S side so that I could save my good name for a cuter baby. I woke up feeling like the worst person in the world! I can't imagine myself doing that in real life, but then I dreamt about it so it's obviously in my head, which totally makes me question my humanity, haha.

Nebb your dream is awesome!

I dreamed the other night that my mom was getting remarried. Her fiance didn't have a lot of money so she confessed to me that she still had several pieces of jewelry that actually belonged to my father (and should have been part of my inheritance) and she was going to sell them to buy herself an engagement ring. I took the jewelry and left and she kept calling demanding that I explain why I was being so selfish.

These are cracking me up! LMAO at Stella! I dreamed I had an ugly baby when I was PG with Chloe. I didn't want to show her to anyone because she looked like Sloth from the Goonies. I swear I felt guilty from having that dream for weeks!

I dreamed Monday night that my ex-H was 'helping' us move.  Only it wasn't the house I live in now - it was some strange place with a very large staircase.  Anyway, ex-H had a clipboard and was dictating which furniture to throw away - basically all of it - and my DD was crying that he was throwing away her new bedroom suite.  I finally started yelling at him that he had abandoned his children, and hadn't been there for any of their concerts, sports matches, birthdays, etc, and hadn't taught them to ride a bicycle or drive a car (which is all true) and he had no right to throw away my furniture.  I guess the real-life frustration was in my subconscious and invaded my dreams.

One night last week, I dreamed that I was coming in the door at work and held the door for someone coming in with an arm full of boxes.  Shortly after, they set the bomb scare alarm off (I don't think we even have one of those) and everyone started running around and panicking.  We all filed outside and they started passing around a picture of someone holding the door for the guy who installed the bombs, and all I could see was my hand and I could plainly see my e-ring.  I decided to hide and jumped in the pond in front of the building. I had a straw in my purse so I used it to make a snorkle tube and just layed in the pond with the straw sticking up. Then I woke up.

So, for the past week I've been giving everyone the side eye if they are walking in the door the same time as me...checking their badges to make sure they have the security clearance to get into the building lol.

Usually I hate my dreams because they are nightmares. I get a lot of nightmares, everything from reliving past events to just plain scary sh!t happening (usually if I watched a scary movie beforehand). Last night though, it was just freaking weird.
I went to a store to find some exercise items. There was a new product that looked like a big hunting knife, only instead of a sharp edge it had some kind of beveled and pitted edge, and the blade curved. Well, turns out this was used for your arms and you were supposed to hit the knife against the floor and kind of launch yourself from one spot to the next (I can't explain it exactly, but I did it in my dream).

So then I go to school, my old high school, and a teacher tells me I have weapons. I say no, they are exercise items but she freaks me out so I go to the library, which looks like a retail store I used to work at. I grab a bunch of books and cover my knives with them, but some a-hole teacher I hated finds them and drags me to the principal's office. Out of nowhere, I suddenly also have an air gun and a couple throwing starts. He tells me to wait and somehow I end up in a group of about 20 students who are all guilty of the same thing and I am the leader of whatever we are planning.

Then I woke up.

Last night I had a dream that I was getting ready for work and had on this white tank top from Ann Taylor and then I realized I had worn it yesterday and couldn't wear it to work a second day in a row. So I frantically started looking for other clothes but I had none and the whole time I was counting how late I was going to be to work.

This was a lame ass dream and was super real to my life, I can never decide what to wear in the morning. Maybe I'm panicking because my mom is coming in on Wednesday until Sunday and in HS she always used to yell at me for wearing the same things all the time.  Really mom? Awesome.

I dreamed I was in that movie The People Under The Stairs, and the creepy bondage guy was trying to kill me and Alice and Fool. We kept finding all of these secret passageways, but I didn't want to go in the basement. Finally, the creepy guy caught me and I woke up.

Last night I had a dream that I was IN the video game Red Dead Redemption.  So were FI and some of his friends.  I had a horse, and a gun, and I was really good.

Last night I dreamed I was in hawaii scuba diving with some guys from HS AND the guys from The Hills. I'm not sure what we were doing as we weren't really scuba diving but rather going and sitting underwater.

Then recently I had a dream that my friend Savannah was marrying Robert Pattinson and I was getting so excited about whether or not Taylor Lautner would be there.

That is one of the creepiest movies I have ever seen. I guess that's why I don't watch creepy movies, as a rule.

I also have dreams about my teeth falling out all.the.time. It is really annoying.

I used to have a recurring dream as a child. I was locked in a dayllight basement with bean bag chairs and really bright colors walls. I was with a bunch of teenagers, and we were all trying not to fall asleep because we knew Freddie Kreuger was going to kill us. One by one, all of my friends fell asleep and got killed. When I was the only one left, I finally got the basement door open. I went outside, and everything was frozen except for a few kids jumping rope and singing that freaky nursery rhyme.
I was a messed up kid.

For about a month, I had a series of the most graphic, horriffic dreams of my life. I've always had really vivid dreams that I remember for weeks, but these were a whole new ballgame. There was a theme that ran between them, which I'm pretty sure had to do with a really tough trauma case that I was seeing. In each dream, I'd be in some creepy space (alley, abandoned warehouse, falling-down school a la Silent Hill), and I'd come across some awfujl scene of torture. Chainsaws, hammers, basically the prop list of Saw. I'd want to help, but I couldn't move towards them. I'd usually be floating up on the ceiling and nobody could see me.

Then I took a class about the effects of treating trauma cases on therapists, learned about secondary traumatization, and got better

But a few nights ago, I dreamed that FI paid $70 to get his hair cut at an Aveda salon by Mr. Schu from Glee. That was the weirdest one

Roxy- My parents were really young, and let us watch whatever we wanted. Not the best idea ever. While I was being born, my older brother was watching the scene where Freddy turns a guy into pepperoni on a pizza, and then he gets eaten.
