Closets?

How often do you remove/donate clothes from your closet?

When you buy new clothes, do you buy new hangers?

What are some pieces youre looking to add to your closet this fall?

Re: Closets?

  • How often do you remove/donate clothes from your closet? - about once per year

What are some pieces youre looking to add to your closet this fall? - I haven't thought about it. I hate clothes shopping. My girl card must be revoked immediately

  • How often do you remove/donate clothes from your closet? About every 6 months.

When you buy new clothes, do you buy new hangers? Not now we just recieved the Huggable hangers for a wedding present. So I use those, and DH use the wooden ones.

What are some pieces youre looking to add to your closet this fall? Boots, Sweaters, new slacks.

</div><div>1- whenever I need room for new ones, or I get tired of looking at clothes I don't wear anymore, which comes to about twice a year.</div><div>
</div><div>2- No, I use the same old hangers my old clothes were on. </div><div>
</div><div>3- I need more shirts for work in saturated colors, and a couple more pairs of pants. If we hadn't had today's unexpected expense, I'd be at the Limited this weekend remedying this issue.

  • After working in retail for years, I have way too much.  Now, I donate 2 items for every one that I buy.

I have a ton of hangers from when I worked at the store, but I buy/replace when needed.

This fall, I'm planning on getting new boots (although I don't need them), longer sweaters for leggings, a black coat I found in H&M on Wednesday, maybe some new dresses for work, and my wedding gown.

  • I love purple. Ive also really gotten into red lately, I always "hated" it and now I think I look awesome in it. I really love the colours that are out right now.
  • I love purple too. It happens to be one of our school colors as well, so people at work think I have lots of school spirit.

  • I used to clean out/donate whenever I moved. But I ahven't moved in 2 years, so this past June I went through and donated 3 trash bags full of clothes.

I buy new hangers if I don't have enough hangers. Right now I use plastic ones, but I'd love to upgrade to wood someday.

I really want a pair of brown riding boots. And hopefully lots of things in a size smaller than I am now!

My grandmother used to call all pants slacks. Except jeans. Those were dungarees.

  • How often do you remove/donate clothes from your closet?
When it's starting to overflow. H gets rid of clothes more than me because he has a crapton of work shirts that are constantly getting ruined. I have a lot of clothes from when I worked retail that I can't wear to work now, but I have a deluded fantasy that one day we'll be able to afford fancy nights out and I can wear them again.

When you buy new clothes, do you buy new hangers?
No, I buy hangers when I'm completely out of room. Our closet is actually a bedroom that past tenants converted into a closet by putting in shelves and racks, so most of our clothes are on the shelves. The nicer stuff is on hangers, and we recently added some cabinets for things like socks and underwear. Our hanger space is actually kind of limited.

What are some pieces youre looking to add to your closet this fall?
Nothing really. I hate shopping and have no idea what the latest fashions are.

How often do you remove/donate clothes from your closet?
I have a "donate" bag, so whever i decide something is too small, faded, stained, ugly, (you get the idea) i put it in the bag. when the bag fills up, i take it to goodwill. also, if i buy new clothes, i try to get rid of the same amount of clothes.

When you buy new clothes, do you buy new hangers?
nope. i don't have any more room in my closet so when i get something new, i find something i don't wear any more to get rid of and use that hanger. btw, i also use hugable hangers...love them!

What are some pieces youre looking to add to your closet this fall?
    more work shirts. and shoes!

  • How often do you remove/donate clothes from your closet?
    About once a year.

When you buy new clothes, do you buy new hangers?
    Sometimes. I usually have enough.

What are some pieces youre looking to add to your closet this fall?
Definitely a few nice sweaters, a more stylish winter jacket (although I love my NorthFace fleece), a couple new pairs of jeans and a couple of pairs of shoes that are a little more stylish but can be comfortable and worn in the snow and rain.

  • When H moved into my house during Thanksgiving of last year, I did a major cleanout, because I went from 2 walk-in closets to just one. My now closet is stuffed to the brim and I don't have the heart to get rid of stuff.

I'm always in the market for more work clothes.

  • How often do you remove/donate clothes from your closet?
Usually at the beginning of every season (we only have two seasons where I live though) I donate the old clothes and buy a few new pieces.

When you buy new clothes, do you buy new hangers?
Not unless I need them. I did have to throw out DHs wire hangers when I moved in permanently though. NO WIRE HANGERS!  EVER! (Mommy Dearest...anyone?)

What are some pieces youre looking to add to your closet this fall? I'd like some black riding boots and a new purse. I could use a few new sweater too.
  • How often do you remove/donate clothes from your closet?
Usually when the seasons change and I'm buying new things, I take out old things I don't want to wear. I let it pile up and donate them about once a year.

When you buy new clothes, do you buy new hangers?
The thought honestly never occurred to me.

What are some pieces you're looking to add to your closet this fall?
I desperately want some riding boots, but so far have been unsuccessful in persuading myself they are practical in Arizona.

When you buy new clothes, do you buy new hangers?
Not unless the old ones are falling apart or something!

What are some pieces youre looking to add to your closet this fall?
A new black handbag; flat boots (no heel); maybe some grey heels too.

  • I go through my closet once a year and donate anything I haven't worn in a long time. The only thing I refuse to throw out are my multiple pairs of jeans in multiple sizes because I want to be thin again.

I just use the same hangers over and over...

I would love to add stuff but I refuse to add new clothes to my closet until I reach a size 8 - 10 because then I will have more clothes that fit anyways and might start adding into that...of course, that would require me to be a size 8 - 10...ha ha ha ha...I am at a size 12 right now so it might be a while before I buy new clothes...
  • How often do you remove/donate clothes from your closet? It varies - usually whenever I look at my clothes and go "What was I thinking?".  This can happen multiple times a year.

When you buy new clothes, do you buy new hangers?  I would if I needed some, but that hasn't happened yet.

What are some pieces youre looking to add to your closet this fall?  Boots, cute cold-weather dresses, more "grown up" clothes
