Morning,

Mobile isn't working for me so I'm catching wireless.  Hopefully big brother wont track me  It's 81 degrees in my lab right now.  If it keeps this up I'm leaving.  We finally opened a vent near one of my bays but it's only helping a little.  At least I can feel a breeze even though it isn't a cool breeze.  The building is so old that temperature regulation during the hot summers and cold winters is a HUGE issue.  That will be fun.  You'd think with it being a lab and having experiments that are sometimes temperature sensitive that they would have a better handle on things.  Ugh.  I am excited to grill marinated chicken tonight.  I feel like it's been forever since I've done that.  I wish I had little skewers to do a kabob type thing but I'm too lazy to go out and get them.

I'm game aatb although I don't really understand what it entails. Also regarding pinterest in sigs if your pinterest links to your fb, which a lot do, then everyone on tk can see that. Just sayin.

Nah I prolly won't need reading glasses for another ten to fifteen years.  Once you turn 40-ish and get older everyone needs reading glasses anyway   I'm definitely enjoying the freedom now.  A friend of my mother's got lasik when it first started being really popular and you had no other option but to go under the blade to create the flap.  She did one eye and then had to go back a week later for the other, lol.  This was like, 20, 25 years ago?  She only uses reading glasses to, you know, read stuff.

Morning! I think my eyes were both at 5.75 before lasik. So I can also sympathize with being dependent on contacts/glasses. I am surprised I never got an eye infection, from how crappily I handled my contacts. Seriously- I would wear them way too long, only change out the solution when it got low (otherwise I would just add more in) and put them in/take them out in bed without washing my hands. I was terrible.

Anyways- I am glad I never go on the "Christian" weddings board because, well, I don't think I can handle their "Christian" opinions.

Well, like, have you ever watched a Roast?  Everyone gets together to roast one person and they just rip on them for like an hour and everyone laughs.  Maybe we could roast people one at a time, or people could volunteer to get roasted like how we do HO threads?  Or we just randomly pick people and roast them.  Lol.  I don't know.  We'd have to work that out I guess.

I want to give an example of how I'd roast someone here but don't want to yet so as not to offend anyone, lol.  PLUS, it's kind of hard to think of something to say, too.  Might be easier once the thread gets rolling.

Morning everyone. We have finally been blessed with rain. It downpoured so bad after work yesterday we had an inch of water on the highway. It is raining again this morning, which is nice. Hopefully everyone can get a little bit of this!

I'm exhausted today and I'm not sure why. I slept my normal amount last night. Blegh.

Yeah I did my Pinterest with my Twitter account and I think I only have like 35 followers or something, lol.  I think I have roughly a thousand Facebook friends.  No way was I Pinteresting with Facebook.

My pinterest is linked to my fb, fuckyouverymuch, but nothing I've ever pinned has shown up on fb. Linking isn't the isue, its people too stupid to change preferences. I like being able to see who on my fb has pinterest cause how else will I know? Oh and I've never watched a roast, but I think it'll suck if we can only roast people who want to participate cause, grow a pair.

Well H had Lasik when it first came out, some 13 years ago, and now he needs reading glasses, so you are probably right about needing them eventually.

Well yeah- it's not the pinterest stuff showing up on fb that I'm worried about. It's like what you said- people getting to your fb from Pinterest. I link it quick to check for fb friends on pinterest, and then just turn it off. So I don't think you can see my facebook from pinterest. I dunno. I don't like having my fb linked to much, so I'm pretty ridiculous when it comes to what I link on fb.

Pinterest has a way to find friends through email contact lists, too.  Or if you have friends in common, etc.

My tk is the only thing I don't want connected to my real life. My pinterest, blog, fb, twitter, etc are all my real life IMO so I like them linked.

I never linked mine to FB either, it just started showing up. I just uncheck the box so what I pin doesnt show up on my feed. But, just now I went in and deactivated it from my FB account.

Good morning, ladies.

Great Pinterest tips.  Make sure what you're re-pinning actually links to the source and not just a Google image.  Put in a good description - simply saying 'yummy' or 'omg cute' doesn't help the search engine.  Brief, accruate descriptions with key words about what you're pinning are the best.

That's sad about the little bat, BK.  Poor guy.

Well, this shows you all how much I go on Pinterest seeing as I'm clueless.  I have to say I need to get back on because all of the recipes I find on there are pretty awesome.  I also liked looking at a lot of their DIY wedding stuff but when the budget pretty much got filled that put an end to that, lol.

When I first started on Pinterest I took great pains to make sure I pinned stuff I knew was linked to blogs, but recently I've been kinda lazy, so when I go to use a recipe I've found I'd click on it and it would just be a flickr picture or something.  Yeah.  Getting burned like that is a pain in the ass and it pisses me off.
