[QUOTE]In Response to Re: My 19 year old sister... : Way to rub it in! We had a huge pond behind our house when I was little that me and my friends would skate on. I am pretty sure someone that we didn't know fell through the ice once though, and that stopped us from going.

Yeah, ours isn't that deep now that the beavers on gone. I'm so Canadian.
  • If I sit still too long, when I move/get up, all my joints crack (although they've done this for years).

I get up before 5 am and go to bed at 9 pm most nights.

I hardly ever see my friends and don't seem to mind that.

FI and I gush to each other about how adorable our cats are; I am certain this is a good indication we'll do the same with our children one day.

FI and I don't drink anymore, and we gripe to each other about "them no good kids" in the neighborhood when they have parties that stay noisy late (this is also due to our ridiculously early bedtime).

My brothers are 10 and 13 years younger than me... one of them will be starting college right after our wedding next year- 10 years after I GRADUATED from college.

    /sigh

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: My 19 year old sister... : This makes me happy.  I'm sadly obsessed with stereotypical Canadian things.

I played WoW with a guy from BC, he had the most stereotypical accent you can imagine. And? He was a lumberjack. For realz.
  • I also feel old when I take on the "get off my lawn" mentality even in my apartment complex where I do not have a lawn, let alone one that is mine. The two twin boys next door are always playing football or even pitching baseballs back and forth in the parking lot having a great time being kids. And then there's me, standing in the kitchen peeking out of the blinds thinking, I wish one of you hooligans would hit my car with that ball and see what happens to you.
  • I'm 25 and have a 12 year old sister.  She makes me feel old every time I talk to her.
I remember her being born, and now she back talks, rolls her eyes, and is basically becoming a teenager way too quickly.  That makes me feel ancient.

  • I feel old when...

I use to say Oh I can stay out till 2.. that gives me 5 hours of sleep. Now I say.. I can't stay out till 2 that only gives me 5 hours of sleep.

  • All my friends are older.  My very best friend is my age, but I sit with a 68-YO on the train every day and when I go back to the town I went to college in, I always make it a point to see my old bosses (who are my parents age) and never really care to see any of my friends that I used to out with.  I'm definitely an old soul.
