Shay- The red looks really nice- I really like the look of a bright door against more neutral siding/trim colors.

Any I am happy it went so well for you!! And glad the weather cooperated.

Morning all- Just having coffee and watching HGTV. I think today will be the usual cleaning day, but I kind of want to go to Cabin in the Woods. Apparently it is really good. Watching the previews I wasn't sure but now I have heard enough people recommend it where I am curious.

Good morning!

I found out on Friday that I got a job!! I have to wait for paperwork to process, and I will technically be hired as a temp until December 2012 because the agency is being absorbed by a different agency in January 2013, so they aren't allowed to hire full time permanent staff right now.  But I'm guaranteed to be transferred to the new agency in January and will start getting benefits then.

I have to wait for paperwork to process before I can start, which may take up to a month. so I'm not telling people IRL just yet just on the tiny off chance that something goes wrong and it falls through (which I've been promised won't happen, but I'm paranoid about jinxing myself).  

This also means that we can officially start house hunting!! I'm so excited.  We're going to scope out neighborhoods today to get a feel for which ones we like/are in our price range.  Pirate, we'll be up in your neck of the woods this afternoon actually

Edit:  I just realized that in my excitement I said the same thing twice.  Oops.

Its raining and that sorta puts a damper on my day of wandering around in toronto with my dad and adam before the concert, so I asked my dad if he could pick us up a little later, which works for me cause then I can work out before we go. I did groceries yesterday and laundry lastnight so we dont have any typical sunday chores to do. We will miss Mad Men but its repeated on Monday night so whatevs

Yup! my appointment was on thursday and by friday morning I was called about an appointment with the new doctor. Fastest moving referral ive ever had! The appointment isnt until mid may, but atleast ive got it.

That's great to hear Nebb. I hope this doctor is more willing to actually help you rather than being a judgey jerk. I think that kind of specialist is just what you need from everything you have said.

And congrats on getting a job LP!

I'm lollygagging before heading to the gym this morning.  FI and I are getting our body fat measured and I'm not sure if I dread it or am excited about it, since it's been probably 8 or 9 years since I had a body fat comp test done.  Either way, I guess I'll know where I stand.  

Then it's off to order a keg for the wedding and maybe (MAYBE) go to Costco and buy wine for the wedding, but the idea of Costco on a Sunday is not appealing, so we may just do that tomorrow instead.

Congrats, any!

We got our Internet fixed so I can finish my classwork. This is the last week of class and then they turn in their portfolios, which is going to be a crapton of grading. But then it's summer! After this semester, I've decided that the first class of my fall class will focus on how to write a sentence, how to structure a paragraph, and pretty much everything having to do with setting up a narrative. I told some students 15 times how to oganize things and they still did it wrong. That just pisses me off.

Anyway. Back to grading and editing. And cleaning. I hate cleaning.

Steph, We had the Chicco Keyfit for the infant seat. Godforbid you should have a preemie, but that is the number 1 recommended seat for them. We recently switched to a Diono Radian XLT and he'll be in that forever. It has the highest weight rating and is very slim so I can fit up to 3 across in my backseat.

Yeah, Sarah, I've heard the Keyfit is like the only one that can goes down to 4 pounds. We're going between that and the Graco Snugride. You know, the two carseats that probably account for 85% of carseats I'm at a stall. I think we'll just go try them and accompanying strollers and see which feels better.

That's a good plan. Have fun! And don't get overwhelmed. In the US, all car seats pass the same standards. There are no rankings. They all do the job. Its all about how you use them and what fits best in your life.

Hi everyone! I just got home from work and it smells so good in my house. H started the crock pot this morning for pot roast and OMG drool. I'm glad we're eating early because if I had to wait much longer for our friends to come over, I'd just devour it before they get here. My self-control is waining.
