Anyone a fridge expert?

seriously...yesterday there was water leaking from our fridge...we found a pool of water under the crisper drawer. Okay...where is the water coming from? If you take out the crisper drawer all there is is that white fridge moulding stuff...(and I checked, our crisper drawer doesn't have holes so it couldn't leak below)...I have NO idea where the water came from. So we mopped it up and hoped for the best. Came home today, more water (not nearly as much, the water that had been there yesterday had clearly been there for a while).

#1 - don't like not knowing where said water is coming from

#2 - don't like the prospect of an expensive appliance breaking 5 weeks before the wedding...Leon's had better be having a 'don't pay for 16 months' deal right now because we can't afford a new fridge right now.

I'm assuming nothing was leaking in the fridge? Like, an item in the fridge, not the fridge itself. If not, do you have an icemaker? That's hooked up to the water line, and can leak.

nothing leaking, checked everything. no ice maker.

If it isn't the line to the icemaker leaking, check the temperature - could it be condensation collecting under the drawer?

Check the vent behind the fridge. It may be chogged. Clean the vent and check again tomorrow. Does it have an ice maker? Also, is everything in the freezer still frozen?

Is it possible the fridge is packed too tightly or set too cold making the coils "overheat" and accumulate ice which is then leaking into the fridge?

I'm at a loss then. I didn't think anything else was connected to a water line or that there's anything else in the fridge that would leak water. Bizarre. Clean it up and wait a couple days imo, see if it keeps happening.

Darn I have nothing to add that these intellegent woment didnt cover, MILF and Nebb seem to know what may be the problem.

Our old fridge used to do that, and albiet it was OLD so that was a factor, it was generally because it was set too cold and was over freezing the coils. I hated that fridge.
