We just ate dinner, I bbq'd steaks and had it with steamed LOCAL asparagus and new potatoes! I love when I can say I got local stuff lol. I sat out on the front porch for an hour or two this afternoon reading in the sun. I really want to get front porch rocking chairs though.

One time I was carded buying a case of beer and she said she couldn't sell it to me because my license said 1991 (I was born in 1981). Um, excuse me? I asked her to get the manager and the manager was like WTF and sold it to me.

The old NJ license looked fake, fortunately I never had a problem but it got double-checked a few times.  They finally started making them with the holographic thingy.

Complicated story of how we met, and it starts with the fun factoid that I'm a car person.  FI and a group of his friends (all mechanics) were out near my area working at a racing event. I initially starting dating one of the other guys in this group, but we didn't work out. Afterwards FI and I got together. He is from here in NY originally and when his job assignment on the west coast was over with he moved back.  Then a year later after I finished college, I moved.

The wedding, gosh, sometimes it feels like it's never going to happen.  When we got engaged last summer we wanted October of this year, but after pricing everything out we knew that we wouldn't be able to pull it off in time financially, so we pushed it back to October 2013. But now, for the same reason, it looks like 2014. Who knows.  HOWEVER, I do have my dress. =]

No pets as of right now. Given that we live in only a 600sqft apartment and work long days, a pet would not be practical for us right now. I guess I still technically have my horse, but she stayed with my mom in Nevada :-(

We recently bought the friends series on dvd and watched the whole thing in like a month, Adam had never seen them before. There are quite a few episodes where stuff was left off from TV and I had never even seen before.

One of my FAVOURITE friends bits is when pheobe and chandler are trying to fake eachother out when they other knew the other knew but didnt know they knew. When chandler turns on the music, its joeys voice going "WWHOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH" in a ghost voice, and chandler goes to turn it off and says to pheobe "... joey was trying to scare the duck". I laughed SO hard when I saw that.

FI said his best fake ID was his Jersey ID... he got in everywhere with it. Unfortunately, he tried to use it in Wildwood and an ex cop was the clerk at the liquor store. Apparently there was something weird with the numbers, so the guy knew it was fake.

Have you considered the first weekend in November?  I wanted October also but couldn't afford the October pricing.  We booked 11/4/11 and it was considered off-season enough to get a discount, but the foliage was still beautiful and the weather cooperated beautifully.

I'm really worried that it'll be too cold for my outdoor ceremony and barn reception to do it in November. And the venue that we're in love with is owned by the Town and the pricing does not change whether it's a Tuesday in January or a Saturday in September.  However, luckily the photographer that we chose considers October "off season" and is discounting us. But even if moving it to November saved us a little money, I don't think it would be enough to make 2013 plausible unfortunately. :-/

The weather is so weird.  A week before our wedding (so the last weekend in October) we got a crazy snowstorm.   It knocked out power around the tri-state area, and an entire branch of my family from CT had to miss the wedding as a result.
