Distraction

I don't have anything to say, but I have to distract myself from the story one of my kids is telling, or I'll start crying.  I'll come back after school and tell you about it.  OH, and AW: Today is our 6 month anniversary!

Ok, so here's what I needed a distraction from: I needed to distract myself from a kid's presentation because it isn't good if the teacher is a sobbing mess.  This student has a brother stationed in Afganistan.  She was giving a presentation about her most cherished possesion and said it is a card he gave her.  It is one of those cards where you can record something and it will play when you open the card.  He recorded it to say "Merry Christmas Hannah, I love you"  She said she opens it whenever she feels lonely or when she is worried about him because he can't call very often.  After listening to 12yr olds profess their love for their ipods, xboxs and playstations that one really got to me!

Oh wow that would have got me too. It's good to see that there kids out there who know what's important in this world. And congrats on six months! That's crazy, it seems like you just got married a few weeks ago!

Oh my goodness, I almost started crying just reading that! Good job keeping your composure!
