I am not sure exactly what I am going to do legally. I will change it to his name but I have built my name in my business with my maiden name so I might keep my last name just for the business but officially change it to his. I have two friends that have done that.  We shall see, it's all so confusing.  My name is Italian and does not hyphenate well at all!  I had thought about making my maiden name my middle but really that's a mouthful.  Hmm, decisions.

I am going to just change my last name to his. Thought I don't really want to and would rather just keep my last name as it is, this is really important to him so I am giving in.

BanannaP - No I have not had any issues.  My sister also changed her name to just put his name on the end and has not had any issues either.

I just changed my last name to his. It does complicate things to have 4 names, because they don't fit on anything. I wasn't overly attached to my last name and there are lots of boys, so it's not like I'm the end of the line. Plus it was really important to DH for some reason or another.

I'm changing my middle name to my maiden name and I'll take FI's last name and then drop my middle name.

Changing my last name to his. I ad laways planned to, quitly have a little weirdnessw about it eso., since I am older and I am none in business by my maiden name but in business things I at least still have my maiden name in Parenthesis before my new married last name so people swtill recognize me. i have an italian last name that would not ring well with my new last name! it's all a little weird but not that big of a deal to me either way. it is important to FI I take his name and I am fine with that.
