Hello ladies,
Been posting on these forums for a few months now as coopergirl15. For some reason TK has decided to start eating all my posts [!]. The mod of the CC board assures me I haven't been banned, so until TK rights itself I'll be using this account.
Seven months to go and have quite a few things accomplished:
: Venue is booked and the deposit is paid
: Food tasting is done, reception menu has finalized
: Guest list is finalized
: The bridal party members are asked [all said yes! Yay!]
: Photographer, florist, cake baker, hair stylist and officiant are booked
: Registries have been created and filled
: Website is up and functioning
: Hotel room blocks are done
: Wedding dress, shoes and undergarments have been purchased
: Engagement photos are done
: Paperwork for my name change is in order [DMV, SSA, CWP, etc]
: Our wedding rings are in our hands and paid for, all that's left to do is engrave FI's wedding band [special surprise for him] and have the insurance appraisal updated
: Photo albums [for us and the parents] are ordered
: Save the Date postcards are almost done [I've hand lettered all of them, just need to add photos and stamp them. I'll post pics of the DIY when they're done]
: I've drafted a wedding ceremony from examples I found on the Internet, and FI is tweaking it to his liking; the final draft should be completed by next week.
I'm dreading the remainder of the planning. Still have to choose and book a DJ, make the invitations, help FI's mom plan the rehearsal dinner and fully plan the honeymoon. But my "to do" list is significantly shorter than it was a year ago, and for that I'm very grateful!
