I'm no help I just wanted to say welcome!  It might help others to know how many people you are having and what your budget is.I do know that a lot of girls recommend Chestnut Square in McKinney.  I went to a wedding there and it was nice.

We fell in love with El Dorado Country Club the minute we walked in the door.I looked around there faily extensively though and the Grand Ballroom is really nice too, plus there are tons of other country clubs.

I like the Heard Museum. The grounds are beautiful, and the reception room is really nice. Oh, and welcome!

Welcome!We had our reception at the Maggiano's at North Park but there's one in Plano too.  They make it so easy.  You couldn't do your ceremony there but it's a good option if you need a place for just your reception.  You could also have your rehearsal dinner there.

i had mine at corral barn at fairview farms and loved it. Also looked at chestnut square in mckinney but it seemed so small- great if you want to do outside aspect too though. Also looked at plano center- could have been decoreated good but hated you had to use their caterers and couldnt get a tasting-also felt a little too big/bare for me but with vision could have been good. If smaller wedding I would consider maggianos and blue mesa.
