Would you rather spend $300+ for your wedding night hotel, or splurge a little on your honeymoon? Like, instead of the $350 one-night hotel room, get a $150 room and then use that $200 for two (or three...) nice dinners. (If you are taking your honeymoon right after the wedding)

I'm save it for the honeymoon.  After the wedding you're probably going to be exhausted, you may not enjoy all of the amenities of a more expensive room for a single night.

I really don't see the point in getting a hotel room for after the wedding. Then again, our wedding is in the afternoon and we live close to our reception location.

Definitely the honeymoon!
FI's and my room the night of the wedding is $138, and then we added an extra night to our honeymoon with what we saved.
