Accent Color for MOH?

I am leaning towards Eggplant (Alfred Angelo) for my bridesmaid dresses, but I would like to have my MOH stand out. I was thinking of putting her in an accent colored dress. So what I would like to know is:

* If this would just look a hot mess and 18 kinds of stupid
* If it is by chance a good idea, then maybe someone could suggest some good accent colors for Eggplant, cause I'm just no good at this kind of thing

I'm doing this. My colors are plum (pretty much eggplant) and Sangria.

I'm alternating colors but you could do a different shade of purple for your MOH

David's bridal has two colors, wine and wysteria, that would look really pretty with eggplant.

I am doing burgundy and champagne.  What color are your guys wearing?  I would put her in whatever color they were in.

I'm dressing our mothers in champagne too just because it is a very traditional mother of the bride/groom color and it fits so well with our traditional prep theme

My dress is Champagne so my bms are in peacock. My mom is looking for an eggplant purplish color.

I'm doing Alfred Angelog Medeteranian blue for my maids and Champagne for my mother for the sake that champagne is a very traditional mother of the bride color... Mother of the goom will me in the same color different style dress.

I think that a champagne color would be really pretty with eggplant.

Not totally sure of the guys, most likely black pants, jacket, and vest, white shirt, with eggplant tie. Fiance will have black pants, jacket, white vest, shirt and tie.

Are you asking that they all pick the same one or each in a different one? How many BMs do you have?

6 BM's (although one is a guy, so 5 girls, 1 guy) and 1 MOH. They don't all have to pick the same one, I'll have a handful of dresses for them to pick from.

Since they are all going to be in pretty much different dress, I think it might look odd for MOH to be in a different color. You could however change her bouquet and have that be different than the rest of the bridal party.

Everyone will know she is your MOH based on her standing right next to you.

The only way I would have her in a different color is if you had bestman in a different color than the rest of the guys too. IMO.

I agree. Since all of your girls are going to be in different dresses and you are having a bestman too I would keep your MOH in the same color as the other BM's.  I think that doing something slightly different with her bouquet is a great idea!  :)
