My centerpiece!

After trying many different centerpeices, this is what I have now:

The florist threw that "arragement" together in about 30 secs and recommended a wholesaler to get them through.  The other two jars will have candles in them.

What do you think about having these around the reception location also?

ETA: the lanterns aren't nearly that red in real life.

ETA part 2:  Thanks Stina for the inspiration to post this on here!

Re: My centerpiece!

  • It looks awesome! Do you already have all of the pieces? (jars, wood slabs, etc.?)

I am terrified of doing my own flowers. I have such respect for everyone that does! That's why I am thinking of only doing candles. :-)

Thank you!!!  I already have all the pieces, but I was concerned that the lanterns would be too much with the centerpieces as they are.  But, the centerpieces have red flowers, so I think it will be ok.

I am not really worried about making the flower centerpieces.  The arrangement only has like 7 things in it total, so I can totally do it the Thursday before and just let them sit in the basement for a few days!

  • That looks incredible.  It looks like it took a lot more than 30 seconds and that makes me and my anti-craft jealous!

I like the lanterns.  I personally think side by side they are too much but spaced apart (like I think you said they would be if I read that right) they will compliment eachother well.

    S'mores. Just S'mores please.

I was almost thinking of having the lanterns on Shepherd's hooks outside, one on the bar, one near the gifts etc.  I think I may just want them to be accents around the room.  I think the centerpiece will be nice on its own on the tables.

I sort of agree with you that it is too much to have the lantern and the other piece close to each other.

  • With the candles in the jars you won't really need the lantern anyway there will still be light brought into the centerpiece
