Another Bride to be

Hello Everyone !!!

I just got engaged a few weeks ago and im only begining to plan

My name is Martine and im a 25 yr old mom of 5 , been with Mr. Right for 5 strong years now and i wouldnt change my life with him and the kids for nothing in this world.

we are planning a simple , not too huge of a wedding. Our Colors are Burgundy & Hot Pink .

So far i have the church and reception hall figured out and now im looking at my list of to do's and im like WHOA!!! i dont know where to start , so i thought of looking for an online place where i can exchange and share wedding ideas with and make a few new friends along the way if possible.

I live in Canada ( Québec) Our wedding date is OCtober 26th 2013 , why october 26th? 

We originally wanted Oct 25th but since its a weekday and not possible for our church , we had our first date on October 25th 2007 so i wanted to have it on that day since its already a special date for us But the 26th will do ....

Welcome Welcome. Congratulations to you and your Fiance. We are just starting to get traffic on this board so dont be surprised if its a little slow at times around here.

My tentative wedding date is the 13th but I wont know till late january early february for sure due to Disney's regulations on the type of wedding we are having. I am a mama too. I have one daughter she is 9 and will give me away at my wedding.

We are doing a very small Disney wedding. This was chosen for cost and stress reasons. We will only have 20 guests total and I will get married late afternoon a gazebo on the property. We'll be taking our guests to a restaurant not decided yet for a formal dinner, then to epcot for desserts under the fireworks.

Hey Everyone and thanks for the congrats...

I Love Cheese and I do not mind a nice bottle of rosé once in a while  

No Special Proposal , He asked me in front of everyone... we were talking about what we would do on our wedding day ( inlaws were over and my family as well) while joking around and laughing at some of the outragoeus weddings we've been to ... he just flat out said , Well if i did ANYTHING at my wedding first it would be to marry you . So i was in awe of course but thought nothing of it.... and then he said im serious babe lets do it.... and so that was it.

I know most brides will be like... wHAT! that is crazy and so not traditional and most will prolly say its a fake engagement... but having 5 kids , makes it hard to dish out money for an engagement ring when you then have to pay for a wedding and all the fixings that come with it. So was i upset i didnt get a ring ? Not at all Ill get my wedding ring and thats enough

I have 2 Furbabies , 2 cats .. one young 1 yr old black kitty named Moca and a Caramel Tabby that is HUGE and is 7 yrs old named Static .

and while the question wasn't directed at me, i feel the need to say that yes....wine and cheese are my friends.  as well as my handsome lovable greyhound :-)  the fiance isn't too bad either i suppose ;-D
