Invitations

I think we have decided on the invitations that we are going to order but I am not sure when we should order them.  We already know how many people we are inviting so the amount won't be a problem but I am wondering when everyone else is ordering theirs.  Also, I was thinking about sending mine out in August with an RSVP date of September 1st only because we have to have our final head count and menu choices into our venue by September 14th.  Do you think this is too early to send them out?

This is very Exciting! Congratulations. I had chosen mine too but with our date switch I'm now relooking and trying to decide what we are doing for theme since its winter not october. I'm not a super winter fan . Pictures

As long as no wording will change and you know the number to order, I don't see it being a problem to order them early.

I think the General rule is to send out invites 8 weeks in advance? I don't really know, but I remember see that somewhere (probably here on the knot) My date is October 12, so 8 weeks prior to that is August 12. So, sending them in August should be fine.

We're also sending ours in August but our RSVP date will be around Sept 16th since our venue requires two weeks in advance. I e-mailed mine for a quote and then will be ordering samples. Make sure to order samples before finalizing any orders.

That's exciting!  I think ordering them now is fine.  It will one less thing to think about later!  We have choosen our, but we are waiting for a special/groupon to order ours.

I'm going to send mine in October 5 months out. Disney will send the STDs about 11 months out. We will then send a bridal newsletter to those who respond as they respond. This will include information about us as a couple, the events happening during our wedding that arent the wedding and reception, schedule of wedding day events, maps of the parks, and a repeat of reservation information. We will also list a few other things that will have costs associated with them like a brunch the day after the wedding, the half marathon,etc for anyone who wants to join in.

I already ordered a sample from Magnetstreet.com and I love the paper that they use.  I did order one with our names and our info on it and I am waiting for that to come in.  I am sure that these will be the invitations though but I just want to run in by FI to make sure he likes them as well.  I will probably wait for a promo code from them, they tend to send them every so often and if I can get 25% off I am taking it!!

I am making my invitations with my sister in law..she is crafty and is a close to my heart consultant (sells paper ect) so its a win...only down side is I dont know what I want to do with designs.. sigh
with magnet street I did my STD through them..i googled promo codes and got 25% just an fyi millersox

I never thought about googling them for a promo code, that is a great idea.  Thanks!!!  I am definitely looking into this.
